I’ve picked up a PS5 Slim with an EDM-040 motherboard exhibiting the following issue.
It boots up with the PlayStation logo and a blue light, then the logo disappears; the light turns white but the XMB doesn’t appear.
After a few minute, the console switches off.
I’ve managed twice to get a picture with the XMB loading, but the console switches off before the icons appear.
It boots up without any issues in safe mode, but I can’t reinstall the system or carry out an update – I get error code SU-101267-7.
I checked the various power rails in diode mode by comparing them with a working EDM-040, and the readings are the same.Visually, I can’t see anything wrong with the motherboard.Here is also an extract from the latest UART logs.
I have my doubts about the SSD controller, but I haven’t found anything obvious when comparing the values between the two boards (in diode mode).
