Do you have Luma3DS asI hardmodded my 3Ds using BrowserHax and everything was good for a while, then one day I tried to turn it on only for the backlight to turn on but just a black screen. If I take out the SD card, it will boot into Luma. If I try to get out of Luma, it will restart into the black screen.
I can't enter GodMode while having a SD card in, but I can enter it without the SD card. I just can't load any payload that could fix the problem because you need an SD card to do so.
What's going on?
boot.firm on the root of your SD card? Boot9strap should automatically detect its presence and boot from that. Unless something is wrong with the card itself.I don't think "hardmodded" means what you think it means. Also, I think you mean super-skaterhax.I hardmodded my 3Ds using BrowserHax
Evidently there is something wrong with your SD card.If I take out the SD card, it will boot into Luma. If I try to get out of Luma, it will restart into the black screen.

Did what you said- still nothing. No card errors either. It's so confusing because it seemingly happened out of nowhere. It has nothing to do with the content of the SD card since I tried starting from fresh to no avail. Can't access the regular menu /home screen at all /can't escape the Luma menu if the SD card it out.Standard procedure: copy everything off the SD card using Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier, format the card, and test the card with h2testw. If h2testw says the card is okay, then you can try copying everything back again; sometimes that is enough to fix things. If h2testw says the card has errors, then you should stop using the card.
How did you format the card? The best way to be sure it is formatted correctly is to use Godmode9.Did what you said- still nothing.
That is frequently how SD card problems arise. It's so confusing because it seemingly happened out of nowhere.
If there's nothing wrong with the SD card, then it is possible there is something wrong with the SD card reader. But you should probably try another SD card to be sure.It has nothing to do with the content of the SD card since I tried starting from fresh to no avail.
Thank you. I went down the list and did every section to no avail (I cant even enter Godmode if I have my SD card in), and I got down to the New Camera Brick. Did that, and instead of the "qtm" process name, it is "gsp", what does that mean? According to the section my problem is unusual and that I need to ask the Discord for further assistance, which I did, but in case I dont get a response Im responding here as well. You may also try the other solutions at https://wiki.hacks.guide/wiki/3DS:Black_screen_unbrick , such as 3ds_hw_test or ctrcheck.
If I'm not gravely mistaken, you can leave your SD card out, start Godmode9, and then insert your SD card, if you wanted to try formatting it that way.I went down the list and did every section to no avail (I cant even enter Godmode if I have my SD card in)
I guess that means you can read.Did that, and instead of the "qtm" process name, it is "gsp", what does that mean? According to the section my problem is unusual and that I need to ask the Discord for further assistance
Snickerstream + AUX cable but honestly I got mixed resultsHello, what's the best solution in 2026 to stream the new 3ds to windows?
I'm not so sure you understand. Injected GBA games (not Game Boy saves in general) store their save data in the NAND, but if your 3DS is really broken, then there is no way of accessing the NAND unless you do some kind of wacky hardware mod. Did you think "saved in the sysnand" meant that you could recover it from the SD card..? Or were you regularly backing up your NAND? (Because if you only backed up your NAND when you installed CFW, naturally that backup won't contain any save data you made since then.)I understand that injected Game Boy saves are saved in the sysnand, that's what decryption takes care of
Well, if your cameras were working properly before the shell swap, then that suggests you did something wrong when you did the shell swap, does it not..?My 3D Camera is acting weird after a shellswap. I did not damage any of the ribbon cables but I can't be 100% sure.
That's probably not supposed to be there.Does anyone know how to get rid of this blank icon that appears in the end of the icon row even after a system format?
Yeah, it's there even without the SD card, and no, I haven't changed the region. Is there a way to install FBI with just the Rosalina menu, maybe I can delete it that way? That's probably not supposed to be there.
Is it still there if you turn on the system without an SD card? And is your unit region-changed?
