It's not that the screen is turned off, The led pixels are on but they're black. Is there a way for me to check if the fpc connector is the issue? Doesn't seem to have any scratches on it either
That's what I meant, you have no back light. The backlight Is connected to the daughter board then to the main board via the fpc. It's either the fpc ribbon or the the fpc connector is damaged.

Hello everyone, It will be possible to rebuild the picofly fw with a different payload ? (payload.h in the picofly repo) I found the Spacecraft_NX sdloader repo and I was thinking if it was possible to use it instead of the picofly one.
No, the Spacecraft_NX repo is for Xcuter/HWFly based modchips.
But the Picofly repo is open source so you can change whatever you like if you can compile it yourself.

Not sure if that boot image is from the picofly as Hekate also shows a boot image :

Here's a video of the issue I'm having.

The payload the modchip writes to the emmc isn't really tied to the modchip - it can be mixed and matched however you want. You would obviously have to replace the payload in the source of picofly and then compile it yourself.

Oh, my bad. Here it is.
It is not the mod chip or the install, why are you taking a video of it. Your installation is fine. You damaged your fpc connector or ribbon hence you screen isn't working. It has no backlight. This isn't a modchip issue.

Fpc 2 in the image, check the pins or the ribbons. This has nothing to do with the rp2040.

I burned the pad on my v6 cpu flex ribbon, does anyone know where I can get a replacement without buying the mod chip too?

Got this offer on a local craiglist:

The seller says it's a new RP2040 Picofly based version modchip for Switch Lite and Oled, only.

What do you think about it, looks like it's a clearly fake, am I right?.. Or not?
What type of wire is this and what size? Is this awg 30? I have awg30 but think it’s too thin. I would like to use a more thick wire.

hello, most aliexpress sellers also have the option to only buy the ribbon. you can also trace wires instead of the ribbon, if needed and provided you have the skills and steady hand.

Thanks but I looked for the ribbon option only and could not find it. I haven’t used my soldering iron in so long and today is first time i picked it up and had no patience and burned my pad. I’ll try tracing the wire on the pad, thanks.

Tried to install a picofly on my switch oled and it went fine, when it booted into hekate I started to check some setting because I had no time to end setting it up; I started to read option about connecting the switch as a controller or something and had to go so I turn it off, after that when I finally wanted to start to set it up it didn't boot at all, just a black screen and the picofly was shining blue then after a minute or something it quickly flashes white and then blue for another minute, after that it does 3 long yellow flashes.
I tried to disconnect the dat0 adapter to boot on OFW but it doesn't boot either stays black.
How can I solve it?
(Had to cut the video because both times it flashed blue lasted about 1 minute)

=== Glitch attempt limit reached, cannot glitch

The Picofly starts flashing blue, if the glitch does not occur within the minute it emits a long yellow flash and resumes flashing blue and within the minute it does not perform the glitch emits 3 long yellow flashes and starts the stock memory.
Definitely an installation error because in the end the stock has to start.

After trying to fix the short it came loose, tried for 2 hours tro get it back on with no suucces.
Is it a necessary cap or not?

Purple screen is the resistor point A

It can be many things but in general it is a kernel panic if the cpu can't access the emmc.
But it can also just be the LCD connector.
Just do a visual inspection for some missing/bend pins.

I dont think its the lcd connector,
Either Resistor, Point A or the tiny one i broke.
Or the Flex thats still on the cpu.
I will remove the flex on cpu to test out.
What a headache.

Can someone please provide what equipment to use.
