Hacking [HELP] DSi GBARunner2 black screen during Pokémon Emerald?

(Rom has no trade evos, through universal randomiser) When I picked my starter, and the screen went black, the battle music started playing, but the screen remained black.

I installed twilight menu++ latest version for my DSi XL just a week or two ago. So the GBARunner 2 came with it. Is it because I enabled no trade evos option for the rom? Everything else is vanilla/original.

I already placed the bios.bin with the right checksum in _gba folder.

does unmodified rom work? because rom hacks can be problematic for gbarunner sometimes

Well this rom was working just fine until what I described happened. Can I share a Reddit post link here? Someone asked if a randomizer was compatible with GBAR2, and someone else commented saying it is. Everything else in my Pkmn Emerald rom is default. Can I the NTEVO rom that is available online from someone work better than this randomizer's no trade evos setting?
