I have couple technical ds lite questions

I'm working on a project and was looking for some advise and pointers maybe articles or programs.



1- the dslite loses info when the battery is removed forcing you to redo the setup for name birth etc is there a way to disable this initial setup idc about linked play or internet etc. Either through a program like flashme (currently using v8 no auto for tvout mod) . I would like to do no battery at all for this project which is why I'm looking for a work around here. Or if possible maybe use something like a cmos battery and circuit to store enough juice to just hold the info long enough in-between power cycles to not lose this setup info

2-the ds wants a momentary switch to power on if you wire in a toggle switch to the same pads it won't turn on reliably you have to toggle the power a few times to get it to turn on. Anyone know of a way to by pass this or redo the circuit so that a toggle (latching) switch could be used

3-does anyone have a pinout of the volume slider pins or know how to set it to max at all times if the sliding switch is removed or broken

i think i have a fix for question one but need to finish some other parts before confirming.... as for question 2 if anyone has a idea of the pulse width that the ds lite uses that would help me so much trying to replicate it. and still looking for pinout for question 3
