I received a "GAME BOY GB (REVC) PRO+" flash cart in the mail today and after, searching for a bit i've yet to find anything in regards to the firmware files for it. Does that mean i should just slap my games on it, or is there actually firmware files for it that's just questionably difficult to track down online?

Any amount of assistance is much appreciated, thanks!

If you bought it off AliExpress, ask the seller for a link to the firmware.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE(S) PUT THE OFFICIAL EVERDRIVE FIRMWARE ON.

The flashcart can brick.

Those are Everdrive GB clones, same hardware but has different branding. But, just like the other poster said, don't flash an official Everdrive firmware onto it, as you will permanently brick it.

+1 to @SylverReZ.

These clones are usually just repackaged with different shells, but are essentially the same thing.
I use these to test between Goomba and Backwards compatibility.

You don't need to install any firmware.

Just slap in your games and it should work as long as you have the ff. directories/structure:
📂 ./
📂 EDGB
📂 SAVE

I.E.:

thanks for all the replies and help! the seller said it came with it and after looking at it closer it had an SD card inside which admittedly is a little hard to see, so it came as
@OmDRetro says, but again i do appreciate the support nonetheless!

Yeah, these Everdrive GB clones don't have any updateable firmware. They all say "OS v4" and that's what you're stuck with.
Isn't OSv4 the latest one (for the EDGB), as krikkz stopped selling them, in order to focus on the X... series of flashcarts?
I remember that a guy from Elotrolado dumped or got from a Chinese seller a firmware OSv4 file that had the brick code removed. I (recently) tested it on a very old JACK DIY clone with OSv1 & it worked (I think it flashed once on boot, then you had to delete the OSV4 file or else it kept firing off everytime, halving the lifespan of the flash chip with writes.)
edit: I still have the file, if someone wants to analyze it / has a spare cartridge to burn.

yes!(I'm so sad it dead). I’ve installed the official Everdrive GB firmware version 4 on this device, but now it’s giving me an ‘Authentication error’ .
Do you think it’s possible to replace it with the OSv1 version you mentioned above? I’d reaaaaally appreciate it!

This is the aforementioned OSv4 (the one who worked on my clone). Try it - I have my doubts, but maybe the EDGB will autoboot the updater. If this fails the only way to recover is by using an external programmer.
