It happens to me regularly, after updating to 4ifir 2.3 and firmware 18.1.0; For example, sometimes I open a game, the Nintendo logo passes, the game logo loads and it freezes, and other times I simply have been playing for a long time and for example when changing the scene, track, or place it freezes.

The only way to make the console respond is to turn it off completely and hold the power button for 10 seconds, it doesn't even show me crash, it just freezes.

soc temp usually arround 37-45 C
gpu 600-900
cpu 1000
mem 1300
handled mode

Patch issues?

Probably; the only error I found when updating everything was a frozen crash (it could only be turned off by holding the power button for 10 seconds)I solved it by updating mission control, should i reinstall firmware 18.1.0? I really don't know what to do, cause there is no crash screen, what could I try?

4ifir is for overclocking so your memory or CPU might not be able to keep up with the settings you're trying to use.
Just lower them somewhat or set them to default setting to see if the problems go away.

Hekate has some diagnostic features for the internal memory and some other things.
But my guess is that your Switch just can keep up and locks itself up in some sort of panic mode.

In fact, this problem occurs with games in which I do not use overclock, splaton 3, pokemon diamond.
What else could be the problem?

do not user prepacked packages, and install sys-patch sysmodule
I already have the sys patch, should I reinstall it?

be sure you have the latest version from download section on GBATemp, the prepacked packages trend to use older versions.

I was thinking bout get a rog but think ill wait to see what the Xbox handheld will be like, mostly cause all I play is Xbox games anymore. I haven't touched my switch in months, but I don't travel much anymore either.

When I'm home away from the tv, I can just stream my Xbox to my 10" tablet and still play xbox, so no point really for me to have another handheld.

how does that work tream from your xbox to tablet? ive been thinking of getting a xbox series x
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Its works great actually, as long as both seriesx and your tablet on the same wifi, you just sync your Xbox controller Bluetooth to the tablet instead of Xbox and play. Ps I absolutely love my series x, best console I've owned to date. Plays everything so well, great graphics, no loading screens, auto resume, I def recommend it.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, I almost never use my PS3 because when the power goes out here that counts as unplugging the console and when you turn on the console after plugging it back in, a kind of hard drive restoration process begins.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
You can just cancel that HD check tho, irc
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, no, it says to not turn off the console while that happens

The HD check shouldn't delete anything it just makes sure nothing was deleted

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I don't think you can stream being on dif wifi, but you can just cloud game. Yes there is a music app can install and play own music while gaming.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Iirc cloud can connect to your accounts with other wifi connections
  • E @ EmpressEspeon:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I have two of them, one for kiddies when they visit to keep them off my personal one, but can share all games between them both. I've had the one for almost a year now. Just bought the second one few months ago.
