So the fst file patch could be done even for the JAP version, isn't it? I wonder if either vv_ would be so kind to make it for us, or he would be a little bit more specific on how to edit fst.bin, so that someone else could do it.

SleepyPrince has published the detailled structure of the fst files here : http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=78241

This patch is made using xdelta (included) and is 1.5mb. That is tiny. Spread the word about it for iso patching.

The old 'sbb_U__dvd5_patch' was from wiifriend's 1.0 tutorial and has the 'green screen at end of sse' error, so definitely don't use that. It still needs the sora_ending file replaced (wiifriend's 1.1 tutorial), that's why the green screen error.
People here have had only good results with vv_'s fst.bin (which is what this 2.0 xdelta patch uses). Is it "better" than Wiifriend's rip method? That's up to you to determine. It does seem to have more videos intact and load faster for me.
It is 100% working with dvd5. See the readme for my full setup: ntsc wii, wiikey 1.9g.

seriously? is it really that hard to follow instructions?
1. scrubb the DVD9 iso
2. open scrubbed iso in trucha (DVD5)
3. replace fst.bin from 2nd partition with the modified fst.bin provided by "vv"
4. do other modifications
5. trucha sign
instead of wasting time waiting for someone to make a PPF patch for you, you could be putting that time to good use by actually following those instructions originally posted a couple pages back.
i guarantee doing all that is faster than waiting for someone making a patch for you. and plus you'll gain experience with using trucha signer...
CuriousG said:Hardest part with Trucha was obtaining the key.bin. It is probably available more widely now than when it was first out. But I agree, it is replacing one file rather than the 120+ with the old method which quite a few things could go wrong.

also, classic mode works fine on it if anyone cares
Classic mode for me ended in a black screen. Beat it using Pokemon Trainer

Can you explain in more detail? By 'demo' - do you mean the VC demo games? Those were removed by flattening to a DVD5, I believe.
Testing this now. People reported FLUDD (water pump) crashing in the main DL thread. They were able to quickly test for it by using FLUDD in the controls screen. It may have been a media (DVDR brand) problem, but I can't remember...
I did NOT have a crash at this point.
EDIT: Classic mode, battled Link with Mario. Used FLUDD a lot. No crash yet. I don't understand what you mean by "mario use the pump has waters with browser". Is that a certain part of the Subspace Emissary?
EDIT2: Look here for more info on this problem. Some people see this on both the DVD5 and DVD9 isos. They say it is a bad burn or to use 60hz (for PAL wiis).
