Hey guys, today I just ran into one of the thread in GBAtemp and found out what to change to fix Soulsilver! Anyways.... lets get into the important stuffs!

Here is the fix for US version, don't know will it work for EU. I tested for a while work fine! No black screens or freezes yet!

Ive read about a fix that makes the game freezes less often, can anyone confirm is this is it ? is there one for the EUR version ?

I have not heard of a patch makes freeze less often. But this is my patch my made it myself but coding is from someone else, i just edit the rom and put it into the patch. But I hope this will be the permanent fix

How do you use the patch?

Seems to be working, loaded my save from the translated Jap version correctly, and now I'm testing entering and exiting a house to see if it freezes, so far so good. With 5 badges should have frozen already.
Edit: After testing for 15 minutes or so seems it works perfectly, will keep testing to see if it freezes. Using DSTT with YSMenu, with the latest dat files (the ones that fix WarioWare DIY and Sonic Racing), with Moonshell as file browser.

Pokemon HG/SS, EU and US versions were fixed by Rudolph. His Universal Child's Play Patch fixes them 100% and this patch is made by copying his work.

so this works by patching a clean rom putting it in your flashcart and thats it ? no freezes at all ? does it work on an EUR (spanish) rom ?

1. Get a clean rom (HG/SS US or EU version).
2. Download Rudolphs Universal Child's Play Patch from here: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=217811
3. Extract both into a folder
4. Drag and drop the clean rom onto Patch.exe
5. Wait until you get a message saying it was patched successfully
6. Then just put the rom onto your cart. The patched rom will be the one you dragged and dropped onto Patch.exe. The patch makes romname.bak file, which is the original unpatched backup.

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
