Hacking How to get Sam & Max Season One working ! (for backups)

Ok ill explain how to get sam & max working

The game can also be Launched by using Menu Patcher !

What you need
A Wii
Multi Cios Installer
Sam & Max Season One

Notes
It should also work with "Far Cry Vengeance" as the game reboots after the first mission, anyone with the game test it and report here !
There is almost NO bricking chance (if you are worried install starfall man !)

Download WiiPowers Multi Cios Installer Download
Put it on the sd card like you would do normally and run it via HBC, select CIOS 33 install with Cios 36 DIP install it to ios33.

Normally you should have Gamma Installed
Start Gamma And press B to reboot the wii

Now you see Sam & Max Season One in the disc channel, launch the game and it will play perfectly (it will now NOT reboot when you select an episode)

Thx to WiiPower for the Cios33 ! Without it it wouldnt work

must be working for most game who needed to be ios patched
the only thing i'd like to know is the brick risk with this menu loader

there is NO bricking risk and it does Not work for games that need to be patched to ios249

Sam & Max is not one of the games which need the IOS Version patching. The issue with this game in another, but maybe this fixes Far Cry Vengeance too. The starfall update block option should protect you against bricks.

Maybe a stupid question, could this be made as a channel so we don't need an SD card? Because that would be much more come in handy.

If its a stupid question just ignore it.

any .dol can ba a channel, use wadder to convert your .dol to a .wad and install it with wad manager, there you have your channel...!!!

Yes, you can create a channel for all apps you have as .dol. Get a sd card, it's just 5 €.

Tank you for answering my question. Ok I have an SD but my best friend doesn't so thats why I asked so. Its true an SD is cheap, but he likes it easy

Will this work with firmware 3.4e? I only have this firmware installed. Or should I downgrade? Every other peace of homebrew works and every other backup to.

If you have the required cIOS it should work.

I looked at the code, but i couldn't find out why it works and the Gamma rebooter doesn't. I think it has to do with the game being launched by the disc channel and the game detecting this somehow. Even some modchip users can't run the game from a loader like Gecko OS.
