No. Current implementation on the Wii does not need any specific regional BIOS, ever since WiiSX was born, so you just use the recommended one on the readme. Don't waste time cracking your head on that subject as many on the forum do. The only minor difference you'll have is if you use the console BIOS versus the PSP BIOS implementation, which will omit the Sony logo and also give you a tiny fps advantage on a small handful of games. That's about it.

did you tried the beta build that had auto cycles fixed? it runs parasite eve II very easily, i played until the first combat and it was fine imo and run smoothly.

hello. wiisx silver allows you to play ps1 games at 240p on wii and it's AMAZING. Especially if you use RGB cable on a CRT TV
wiisx silver is very very outdated, the compatibility sucks and the author never shared the source code so one cant even see what he changed...
wiisx silver compatibility is not as bad as it may seem at first. what happens is that SuperrSonic gave the emulator dol with its default options with the least compatible configuration (select bios HLE and boot through bios No). If you can enter the configuration (which I have already achieved and also turn off the frame skip that SuperrSonic left it On) and set the emulator to launch the games through the bios, you would be surprised at the compatibility playing through SD. Certain games cannot be played and there is no choice but to play on wiisxrx 2020. Playing the games that can be played at 240p is impressive and the Supersonic mod is incredibly good, running the games very well.... I use wiiflow and my priority when running the games it's wiisx silver and then the other emulators... why?... 240p... the difference is insurmountable... play castlevania sotn or angel eyes or little ralph or tombi or grandoll or the kaisoku tenshi or the kowai sashin or the mad stalker or the wolf fang or the two two tenkaku or the zanc x zanac or the abalaburn or the gex or the gokuu densetsu or any other 2d game, even in 3d it is light years away to see it at 240p at another resolution on a crt

I have made many comments providing compatibility information and... "giving away files from years of work emulating ps1 on wii"... I still don't understand your negative comments about my need for the emulator to have 240p... I understand that people who emulate with the wiiu that 240p you are not interested in anything or the people who play the wii on screens... but for me it is essential... respect that, as I also respect your comments even if I don't share them sometimes... It's not a question of comparing emulators, it's a question of giving an opinion. That said, all my support and respect to the creators of wiisxrx2022 as well as the other creators... for example to the creator of wiisxrxr who has allowed me to play Soukyuu Gurentai - Oubushutsugeki (it doesn't work on wiisxrx2020 and it doesn't work on wiisx silver either... .do you now understand my point of view?...). I would appreciate it if you would not make offensive comments against my comments again. I think the explanation of my point of view is clear and without bad intentions. Thank you
you and some other users are pushing way too hard on 240p, when the OP already stated he rather work on cdda and compatibility first, he said it two times already and you guys keep pushing your own agenda, he already said what he wanted to do next, dont try and bring up 240p every 3 or 4 pages of this thread.
Also most people dont care for 240p because most recent tvs cant even run that resolution while 480i is available in almost every tv in the world, old and new.
Pedro I do not make or support a comment with the famous 240p so that the creator of the emulator implements it. I just wish it had but I respect the work of the creator and I will play such a game at 240p if he implements the emulator at 240p when he wants or another creator of another emulator offers it. In the meantime, I'll play it as best I can on the Wii and I appreciate being able to play that game even if it's not at 240p... now you understand my opinion? you see it as a pressure on the creator and in neither case is it like that or is it my intention. If the creator sees it that way, I apologize because it is not my intention, but please do not accuse a person of pressing when you see 240p in a message. because that's not fair either. this is a forum and every time a person ..."wastes" his precious time writing here referring to the emulator it is not to cause damage to the creator... what is the point of that?... someone who is giving you something in what you are interested in... do him a wrong... for example the friend who in a message spoke of 240p and that I have replied giving him the information that there is already an emulator that runs at 240p... surely if I don't I would have answered your question, I would have never known that this emulator exists... maybe... that is the nature of the forum... information

Please people, relax. It is disappointing to read Maxbeta and Pedro's comments as if Oarsoluto did something bad when that user has only informed another user about something that could use and added some information afterwards. I haven't seen a single comment coming from Oarsoluto as a critique to this new version.

I read above that on "480i" gave games the typical unfiltered vertical jitter, but that surprises me because, at least playing on 480p, the games' seem to use bilinear filter, that tends to obscure the jitter (and also make everything blurry).
Is that, in fact correct? Does the bilinear filter only gets applied when using Progressive Scan but not on Interlaced? Because that feels backwards, one would want to avoid the jitter on interlaced at all costs, but it would only worsen the picture on Progressive. Or at least I imagined that both modes used that bilinear filter.
