Your 13.2.1 Sigpatches along with your 13.2.1 FW allowed Tinfoil to work. Now that you are on 14.1.1 your Sigpatches don’t work so you need to grab the latest set that matches your FW.sorry for being dumb and asking so many questions and thanks for being such a patient had helpful forum member, at least this thread is called Noob paradise
you say to update with daybreak to 14.1.1 but i was trying to get back to 13.2.1 which worked fine with Tinfoil.
Glad to see your Switch is forcing you to do the right thing and upgrade to latest.I did a Emunand directly from my Sysnand which put my emunand on 14.1.1 and Tinfoil does not like it so i tried to roll my Emunand back to 13.2.1 using an emmc backup i have made with 13.2.1 but once it was complete, i was still on 14.1.1![]()
Yes, you tried to go backwards. Move forward…into the light! It is warm and safe and wonderful here. Join us!I used the restore emmc option in Hekate and put the rawnand.bin, BOOT0 and BOOT1 made from 13.2.1 into the restore folder and ran the restore but i was still on 14.1.1 so i obviously did something wrong.
AIO is an ease of use app for when everything is working perfectly and you just want to go fast. If things are broken, an AIO can make things worse.I have tried to update everything instead and tried using AIO updater but Tinfoil still throws the error when i try to install a game despite telling AIO updater to update everything including Sigpatches.
Daybreak will install any FW, up or down. It can make things better or worse thiugh, because it is just a tool that does what you tell it.Daybreak is for updating to the latest FW isn't it?
Grab the files from the Darth Sternie Firmware site. But honestly…you should only be grabbing 14.1.1.My emunand is already on 14.1.1 and ive been trying to get back to 13.2.1, Daybreak isnt seeing any compatible files, what am i meant to point it towards??
Grab the Sigpatches from either of these fantastic places:Here is the error i get from Tinfoil when trying to install games:
Sigpatches (GBATemp) — alternative Sigpatches for when others don’t seem to work.
Sigpatches — get your iTotalJustice Sigpatches here (with free instructions!)
