Your message is passive-aggressive.
Mate your messages are outright aggressive & these people are trying to help, Im not sure how you cant see that.
Again you dont want to risk a banned switch, but most sites like ebay/amazon are backed & refundable & your paying around 200usd just for the modchip anyway. You can probably find an unpatched tablet for that & can message the seller.
Given the fact that you think a modchip is a simple as connecting a few wires, I would strongly not consider you even try replacing the backplate on your switch.
Either grab an unpatched tablet online or find the hwfly or some other clone on ali express those are your options. If you go for the later definately hire a proffessional.
But if you come here & give people attitude because you dont like the help your given, apart from people thinking your an a-hole, if you need help in future nothing will come your way.

If you have version 1 unpatched you can use samd21 modchip, if you have patched, lite, v2 or oled you would need to sx/hwfly
I have a Mariko switch. V2.

basically this entire thread can just go in the garbage bin
There has been an influx of people getting modchips and installing them, so I wanted to ask if it became easier.

As useful as a hot fridge.
you ask a question and get the answer, and your not happy.

not that a google search will have already told you this, there is no need to reply with like that.

it would not be safe to try fit the mod chip without it been seated firmly, if any wires were to move or the board while its turned on, you'll risk fucking the chip and your console up.

as for buying a v1 unit, you say you don't want to risk paying more for a console that might already be banned...... you do know fitting a modchip will not prevent you from a ban, so whats it matter if its banned or not, because as soon as you go online, you will be banned.

solderless chips tend to be solderless because therye able to clip into place, now looking how slim the switch is, there is no way that you could design a chip and have something inside for it to clip to.

there is barely any room inside the switch as it is.

think this thread can be closed now as youll only start insulting others.

your best bet if you cant solder or pay someone to do so, get a v1 and use rcm.

To a good answer.
So, everyone tells you that it can't be done without soldering. If you google it, you won't find a modchip that can be installed without soldering. In this thread enough people tell you that in a polite way. You shit on these people because you desperately want a different answer and wonder why everyone calls you an idiot because you expect there to be a solution that is not currently technically possible? Sorry, but this is just a complete loss of reality. You should not be surprised if no one helps you anymore after this. Especially since the lack of a simpler method on Mariko consoles is not because no one is looking, but because there is simply no easier way.

Seriously. Ondrashek06, you need to wake up to the reality around you. At this point, anyone with half a brain is going to assume you are trolling because the only other possibility is sad... a dense, spoiled brat.

And since when has there been a modchip - not a flashcard, not a softmod - that is just plug and play? I have been modding consoles since the gamecube, have never heard of any such thing. These aren't like desktop mobo's. They aren't designed to be modular.

Get a grip and start treating this community with respect or you will surely see none in return.

Wiikey had an easy to install attachment that was no soldering. Simple plug'n'play. Snap onto the MCU and you're good to go.

No, there will never be anything like that for the Switch. But it what OP is seeking has existed for previous systems.

All the answers you've received are good and trusted. Right now there is no solder free method to hack a patched Switch. Unpatched v1's are becoming somewhat rare to find but dont expect a brand new v1 console to be easy/cheap available after almost 5 years of its release, so, you have to deal with it; buy a new patched console, a modchip, pay for installation, or learn to solder and do it yourself. Option 2 buy a used unpatched/no banned Switch from trusted sellers and use common sense.

Some wires can be connected without doing this kind of crap. It's not rocket science.
Rocket science
Wires with connectors can be connected to other wires with connectors
But the wires have to be connected to the board somehow, and you don’t want a chip hanging from wires around the switch. You know limited space inside? Is not rocket science
And no, Nintendo is not going to put a port to let you hack their system.
