Let he who did not do this very same thing cast the first stone.
Sailor Moon is right up there with Totally Spies for so many sexual awakenings.

I mean, he was the one to make The Room more well known on the Internet, so it's not like it was all bad.

The fact is that the "angry nostalgic for 80's/90's nerd" trend is something that died for sure by 2012. Yeah, James Rolfe is still making AVGN videos, but that's because he got himself into a corner professionally by making a movie about a guy who reviews games on a game that, while "bad," didn't deserve the movie treatment, or at least the way it ended up playing out. And while there still was some good stuff like Big Rigs, HK97 and some of the other games he's reviewed lately, James Rolfe, in general, should just focus on saving up all his money, and consider retiring the AVGN character. He said the whole thing started out as a joke, and now, it's become the only thing sustaining him and his life atm. Like being forced to be a clown online, and isn't enjoying his job anymore.

I used to want to start a YT channel like James Rolfe did...until I realized how much money and investment I'd need, even assuming I could be successful in the first place. And that's not even going into nightmares like WingsOfRedemption.

AVGN still does well. If he enjoys it, why stop doing it and then have to go probably do something he doesn't just to get by. His videos are still entertaining as well to me at least. Just the other day he had a Shrek cult burn him alive.

The channel has over 3 million subscribers as of 2019 and has accumulated over 1.6 billion views so far. It is able to get an average of 700,000 views per day from various sources. This should generate an estimated revenue of around $2,800 per day ($1 million a year) from the ads that run on the videos.May 6, 2019

Now if he said he's not enjoying it anymore then I agree I never saw him say that but maybe I missed it.

I think AVGN does well at least enough to still make a living. If he enjoys it, why stop doing it and then have to go probably do something he doesn't just to get by.
AVGN doesn't get into drama either. He knows to stay away from politics. Its why he lasted so long and isn't hated. He knows his place. We watch him for game reviews and not for politics.

BTW don't support Nostalgia Critic they mistreat their employees and it's not just one person there's dozens of testimonies and there was a controversy that I don't know how much if any Channel Awesome was to blame over JewWario a guy who killed himself and people mourned but it was later discovered he was a child groomer and raped an unconscious women. Supposedly someone informed Channel Awesome while he was an employee and they did nothing is the way I heard it.
