I managed to get password working to access ventoy menu but it then boots into default ventoy menu. Still haven't worked out password needed to boot each iso yet.
I deleted the bootpwd line, so it skips the boot password.

Hi, thanks for this awesome tool! I've been using it for a while, way before isos changes..

today using a brand new Aspire A515-54 I was not able to boot from MediCat USB. Boot menu (UEFI) detects it as 'Linpus lite'. I tested it on others machines I have here with the same stick (last MediCat version) and all of then boots normally to MediCat Menu (UEFI and CSM), this particular laptop detects it as 'Linpus lite' and don't boot.

Any thoughts? Thanks!!

Try remaking the usb, but in Ventoy2Disk use GPT setting instead.

I am curious, I read both in medicat info and ventoy own info, that we are supposedly able to mount non-EFI ISO images.
Yet they all error out for me.
Any hints on what I am doing wrong?
Actually even the [BIOS]_ images within medicat produce the same error.
Does this have to do with the way medicat booted? (as EFI or BIOS)

I tag the ISOs with [BIOS]_ in the file name, because they need booted in Legacy BIOS mode, not UEFI mode. They won't boot from UEFI.

So if the USB stick butted from UEFI, it cannot boot (through ventoy) BIOS images right?
Also all those that are UEFI images, cannot boot (again through ventoy) UEFI images?
So it is good to add some more non-UEFI images for older machines?

Hi !
Thanks for the works, I followed the tutorial, but when I boot from it on multiple computers I always have a blue page with an error : Verification failed: (15) Access Denied
Is it a frequent issue ?
Thanks

Had to use the key on the image to enable boot.
Now works

Nevermind I used the Israel1989 tip and used the key and it works :)

MediCat USB v20.12 has just released!

UEFI.png

This release brings a few cool changes. I managed to replace the 3 password reset discs on here with 1 that I made myself, called Jayro's Lockpick. It bundles all the best and latest password reset tools for Windows user accounts into a single WinPE, in a nice easy to use menu. The menu can also be launched on a live Windows OS installation as well. There's a new translation app in the PortableApps menu, there's new Driverpacks, and many boot discs have been updated. Malwarebytes Bootable has been re-worked from a 2018 WinPE into an older 2016 WinPE, to boot faster and it's smaller. Still gets the job done, but with far less bloat! Lots of other changes, so go read the changelog. (I'm kind of shocked nobody has found the pictures of my cat yet, I've hidden 4 of them in Mini Windows 10.)

So feel free to check that out. Thanks for your patience, and have a happy holiday!
