Thank you for your help. My gbarunner and twilight menu were updated, the problem was the input config only appears once you configure it for the first time. I did it on my 3DS and it works like a charm now. For the people with the same problem that me copy and paste this on your gbarunner2.ini:

[emulation]
useBottomScreen=true
frame=true
centerMask=true
mainMemICache=true
wramICache=true
gbaColors=false
skipIntro=false
[input]
buttonA=0
buttonB=1
buttonL=11
buttonR=10
buttonStart=3
buttonSelect=2

This will make your L and R Y and X respectively. Thank yo for your help Zense
Would there be a way to make the X button B? (the b button on my 3ds is really unresponsive)
Edit:I just found a way to edit the controls (w/o opening the .ini file directly)
Open gbarunner2
Before you select your rom press R
Choose input settings
Change it

Yeah opening the ini file directly is only for people with broken shoulder buttons.

Hi,

after the last update I can run Dragonball Z Legacy of Goku and Buu's Fury with the GBARunner2_arm7dldi_ds.nds, but not Legacy of Goku II. There comes the known issue: "This Game will not run of the Hardware found." That could be updated in the Compatibility List also.

That was because I was only testing the DSi build, and the issue didn't happen there.
Thanks for the report!

The Compatibility List for Legacy of Goku II stated that the Version (2020/04/21) 088cbc5 needs no patch for arm7_ds, but that is wrong.

By the way: If I follow the links to the patches and want to download dragonballzgbapatchcollection I get a virus warning.

Hi there. I have a Dsi with M3 DS real card. I can't get GBARunner2 to run. tried both the ds and dsi versions.

They both just sit there "Creating save file. Please wait..."

I have the bios and other emulators work fine: SNES, s8ds and NES.

Any ideas?

Use TWiLight Menu++ to run GBARunner2.
what version of gbarunner should i use on my ds lite
the arm7 or arm9?
Only use arm7, if arm9 doesn't work.

The challenges continue. Twighlight doesn't see my Fat32 formatted SD card. I am missing something fundamental for sure.
For issues regarding Twilightmenu++ there's the official Twilightmenu++ thread here at gbatemp. I'm not entirely sure why you would have issues with twilightmenu not seeing your SD card. For some quick advice though: Use the right program to format your card according to this guide: https://dsi.cfw.guide/sd-card-setup
Only use the part about formating it since afaik you're using a flashcard.

Also it might seem obvious but to run stuff off your DSi SD card you need CFW, In case you don't have cfw, this will help you mod your DSi:

Same here. Maybe it's a flashcart incompatibility issue?

EDIT: just tried a different flashcart and it worked.
