Hacking N3DS BLACK SCREEN BLUE LIGHT AND WIFI LIGHT

hi

just need a bit of help if possilbe please.

i have been handed at n3ds it powers on but black screens blue light on and wifi on.
wont boot but im able to get into the recovery mode and it says up to date.

not 100% sure whats been done to it before ending up with me, is this something thats fixable or going to be a nightmare?

Hm
Try setting up ntrboothax with a r4 and a magnet. Get it to boot to godmode9 then do a CTRTransfer If it helps.

2. Download Luma3DS
3. Put boot.firm onto the root of the SD card
4. Put the SD in the system
5. Boot the system while holding Select

What happens?

1. If it still refuses to boot, try this version of Luma3DS.
2. If that doesn't work, use this version of Luma3DS (use arm9loaderhax.bin).

The SD card needs to be FAT32.

And FYI, this is a longshot. You're 3DS isn't behaving exactly like a modded system without Luma3DS. We're just covering our bases.

it goes through the update process then say up to date.

3. Clear Home Menu extdata
4. Repair the 3DS firmware + custom firmware with CTRTransfer (Type D9) - CTRTransfer. Carefully read and follow the Instructions.

If the above steps do not resolve the problem, read the thread linked in my above post #10.

thanks for all the tips and help, still working on them now.
something i had done or noticed not really sure, when its on the black screen if i press the power button it brings up the power down options screen where you can press home to go to home but it jsut hangs on white screens showing the words home screen

After trying all of post #14's four ideas, that would basically point to a hardware issue.

Is this a n3DS (regular) or n3DSXL model?

If this is a n3DS, I think this might be the first recorded instance where this model shares the same 'Black Screens of Death with only background music in HOME Menu and Recovery Mode still works' bug commonly seen in n3DSXL with the slight difference that the music or button jingle chimes are missing.

How good are you dissembling electronics with a screwdriver?

so far this is the overview whats happening.
i can boot into recovrey says all upto date and all sounds work fine.

if i boot i jsut get black screens but then if i hold power i get the power down option with the choice to press home.
but jsut hangs with home screen word on white screen.

im probably more confident at taking aprt than doing the CRTTansfer.
