ReverseNX

Combination of SaltyNX patches that force games to think that you are using docked or handheld mode.

You can use it to change graphics settings and unlock some options that are available only in docked/handheld mode. For now in experimental phase, because SaltyNX has many bugs that need to be patched.

To use ReverseNX, you need to use ReverseNX-Tool which can be downloaded at the end of this post. Check readme in repo to learn how to use it.

When forcing docked mode, it is recommended to use OC settings exactly as used in docked mode:

handheld_charging_gpu=768
handheld_charging_mem=1600

• SaltyNX is still under development, so it may cause issues on it's own. More in SaltyNX repo.

Thank you for the perfect work but I saw that you don't support the forks. Don't you support the new Tinfoil fork too? Tinfoil, sys-clk and ReverseNX are my favourites so far. I don't want to lose any of them.

No. I just blacklisted all titleids above game titleids range, in which Tinfoil also exists, but not only. So it's ignoring Tinfoil.

But why would you do that? Homebrew is not using Nintendo SDK, so it won't work anyway.

I was using ReverseNX + sys-clk and Hbg Shop both two weeks ago, I love to use them both. I don't understand anything you say technically but it's sad that I have to give up one of them.

I mean, when I was using the an old version of Atmosphere Tinfoil fork, I could use both of them separately. I could download games, dlc's and updates from the shop, and I could use the handheld console as docked. That was the ideal situation and I didn't need anything else. But I needed to upgrade both Atmosphere and SaltyNX. And you said that it won't work with the latest Atmosphere Tinfoil fork anymore and I didn't try.

I am not complaining, I thank you for your work, I am just asking you just a simple thing and I don't know what you are talking about shitposting. I am just a noob who actually only cares about downloading playing the fucking games with a fucking good performance. When it comes to the technical stuff, I am not smart ass as you guys. Just asking if both of them are contradicting or not. I can't understand you and I don't know what is the problem with you.

What's happening I think is for Handheld, the permisible temperature is upto 50 C but for Docked, it's upto 60-61. Though ReverseNX is telling the system to believe it's Docked, I don't think the fan is following that.

Can it be fixed? Thanks

I think that i have a problem. When i plug the switch all its ok, i have the same values that you put in the tutorial, but my fan is always at 100%, in any game, so I think something is wrong, like my Switch is working in Handled mod with 768mhz for gpu and 1600mhz for ram, and not in Dock . Sorry its my english is bad, but I didnt practice since 4 years. Thanks!

PD: I got the solution, i download ReverseNX, and then i saw that is was out.

You need to change fans manually in system_settings.ini in Atmosphere to match docked mode fan profiles.

Some games that require low power doesn't face that problem. What happens is the fan is set to keep the temperature at 50 C in handheld and 60 C in docked. When you run at docked settings in handheld, the fan thinks the temperature shouldn't be more than 50.That's why it goes all out at 100%

No luck for me, my fans go to 100% always, thanks for all!! Maybe with the new sx os chip mod, the swotch v2 is going to get better results
