i managed to make it shown up by enabling gbarunner in the setting menu. btw is it possible to run it as a homebrew without twilight menu setup ?

Yes. Just get the GBARunner2 arm9 and arm7 builds from "TWiLightMenu.7z/Flashcard users/_nds/".

some games, like yoshi's touch & go for example, utilize the top screen as an extension of the bottom screen and having widescreen enabled messes with the accuracy screen-to-screen. is there a way to turn off the widescreen for a certain game or at launch?

Widescreen actually isn't supposed to be enabled for this game.
Make sure "TwlBg.cxi" isn't in "sd:/luma/sysmodules/", and that only "Widescreen.cxi" is at "sd:/_nds/TWiLightMenu/".

Same case.

Widescreen actually isn't supposed to be enabled for this game.

If you're somehow still running it in widescreen, set aspect ratio to 4:3 in the per-game settings.

Moonshell doesn't work on nds-bootstrap, and there isn't a way to make widescreen work from the flashcart. You'd have to launch TWiLight in widescreen and then select Moonshell

I have a New 3DS XL, trying to launch my Slot-1 Card through Twilight Menu++ (an R4i Gold 3DS RTS, to be exact). I've tried both launch methods- Direct hangs on a black screen, and reboot causes an "Error has occured, turn off the console" message. I'm thinking it's probably related to my next issue- though the flashcart launches normally from the home menu, and the Twilight Menu++ boot.nds launches, I can't launch any games; I get a "Start failed. Error 1" message (I have nds-bootstrap disabled in settings, is that incompatible with this cart?).

It's strange, because I remember this cart working before. Any input would be appreciated.

Download either the R4iDSN or R4i Gold 3DS RTS pack from the first post, if you don't want to use nds-bootstrap/B4DS.

That works, games are launching and running again! Though, only from the flashcart itself- Twilight Menu ++ from the 3DS side still won't launch the card. Is that normal for this card?

Yes. Do the same when launching TWiLight Menu++.

More info for you. I have been taking a look at why the following 3 games aren't working (nightly c3fe86a).
1101-AMLE isn't working because nds-bootstrap isn't detecting findCardIdEndOffsetThumb so therefore findCardIdStartOffsetThumb isn't also found.

5877-B5BE isn't working because nds-bootstrap isn't detecting findCardIdEndOffsetThumb so therefore findCardIdStartOffsetThumb isn't also found.

3954-C58P now boots but a softreset loop occurs after selecting the first stage.

Hey @Robz8, so there have been several reports on corrupted sd-cards, even when this FAT table cache was turned off. Should I stick to my DSi for now? Is that something that can be fixed in the future or is it like just a small risk that is needed for the app to work?

It was with a fresh install of twilight menu so whichever version of bootstrap comes packaged. And yes the FAT table cache was turned off.

As I've asked previously: on a 3ds, is there any way to get it to run in 3ds mode or otherwise be able to use 3ds-based emulators? (Mostly I just want to replace GBArunner2 and SNEmulDS with gpSP and SNES9x.)
If so, how would I go about replacing said emulators?

Also, more importantly, how do I get the 3ds to NOT scale up DS-based emulation? For jenesisDS, the 3ds screen is more than large enough to display Genesis games, but because it scales it up to be the same as on a DS, I have to deal with huge screen cropping. How do I get it to... just not do that?
