This doesn't work for me, i tried the dns 164.132.44.106 & 178.62.43.212 with 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 as secondary dns and it keeps giving me the error 20110 (wfc service has been discontinued message)
I tried on Mario Kart DS, Pokémon Diamond and pokémon black

Is that last part (8.8.8.8) required? That might be my issue.
No, it's just a fallback (you can enter literally anything that fits, it won't be used as long as the primary server is up, if the secondary server isn't actually a DNS you will lose all name resolution in that case, regardless of whether it works or not it likely won't remap WFC to Wiimmfi/altwfc)

Try at different times in the day and remember to read the instructions in case you are missing something.

My Issue on this is that..When I go to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Setup Screen on my 3DS (my DSI is in storage)
it says that my Access Point is not acceptable for a 3ds... I have no idea what to do now.

Are you sure you're not using the 3DS connection page? You have to use the Nintendo DS connections option when using wiimfi.

No you don't. If your access point is WPA2 and your game is DSi-Enhanced (such as Pokemon BW2), 3DS settings can be used. Else, a WEP access point and DS settings are indeed needed.

Try resetting your configuration if you already have settings.

To do that:

Go to Configuration Settings
Go to Other Settings
And reset your WiFi data
Then set up your WiFi!

If that doesn't work, try deleting your friends off of your friend list. That worked for me.

Hope this works!

Okay, you are right about that part. I use wiimmfi for playing Mario Kart DS, so I didn't know you could do that. Thanks for the heads up.

Well it does work for DSI-Enhanced games, but I only have Pokemon Black to test it on, I do have Mario Kart but I believe that one isn't DSI-Enhanced and I do not have a way to get a WEP connection.

Have you tried the double smartphone trick? Basically first set a smartphone to receive wifi and sent bandwidth by bluetooth to another smartphone, they set the second smartphone as an open or Wep Wifi hotspot.

That's what I do.
