What you need to do is to calibrate the percentage. so you need to do a
100% -> 0% (after HOS powers off drain the remaining via hekate to 3.2V) -> 100%.

So drain with HOS. Boot into Hekate and let it completely drain then charge as normal when it's powered down?

Yeah, first let your switch drain battery in HOS until it shuts down. Then boot in RCM with hekate and let the battery drain until it shuts down again. Now charge.

I have a question on banning. if someone gets banned from the Nintendo services, does this include things such as using Youtube?
Or does this bans a person from accessing the Nintendo store and multiplayer/online modes in games?

You can't access to Nintendo's online services. Youtube is also included, as a connection to Nintendo is needed when launching it. But it can be spoofed somehow.

Updating the joycons is safe, it won't burn the efuses.

Is there a specific reason why game data corrupts after a while for me? I install it fine, run it fine the first time the later on it ends up saying it's corrupted and to redownload it.

Stop using exfat, start using fat32.

You can setup emunand and use cfw in emunand and play legit games online in ofw.

Only thing different you have to do on fat32 is install your games from usb to bypass the 4 gb limit, which I prefer to do anyway because then I don't have to take out my sd card, put the nsp on it, put it back send the payload etc... you can do it all using Goldleaf without rebooting.

ofw = official firmware

If you're using sx os there's emunand you can setup when you boot

Emunand will keep your system clean while using custom firmware so you won't get banned on official firmware.
