when it comes to this particular field,
"Should" isnt good enough lol
ive used patches in updates before that only work with the first version of the game, not a revision or 1.1
guess ill just have to test it out on both.

Hello, didn't get to reach out earlier but every single time i try to to the tournaments at the desert city albarax, my game crashes, i see a series of zeros and something to do with translation. is this a common issue? has anyone been able to do the tournaments?
Hello Hunters/Riders,
we're proud to release our story translation for Monster Hunter Stories. We decided to release our work now in an unpolished state, due to the recently announced localisation. Make no mistake, if you want to experience the game on a professional quality level, please buy the official localisation. This release is for the impatient players and importers who would like a taste of the story in english now. I hope you will enjoy our work.

FAQ
Do i have to start NTR everytime before starting MH Stories?
Yes. You don't have to, if you use the luma or CIA method.
Will i lose my savefile when patching?
No, savedata is stored in extdata which does not get removed when un-/reinstalling a cia.
Just in case make a backup with JKSM (extdata) to be 100% safe.
Can i play online with this?
Yes you can.
Will i get banned for using this?
A ban is very unlikely.
What's luma/FBI/NTR?
If you have to ask this consider reading basic guides about 3ds homebrew and cfws.
Can i use this with HANS?
You can try to patch the romfs.bin with provided files and use that with HANS. We did not test that and won't provide support for it.

Having the exact same issue here, latest Luma, latest b9s. @dasding, is there a workaround? I wish that this could be completed, since the JPN version has content that other regions do not have.
Edit: I have attached my crash dump (it's for Luma 9.1, but Luma 10.0 has the same error anyway).

If you're playing via .cia installed with the patched v1.3 update, you can just delete the update in FBI, then do the tournaments with the straight JPN .cia. That might be the only workaround right now, sadly. @dasding hasn't been on any of his accounts in 5-6 months (his reddit account, /u/_dasding, hasn't seen a post in 8 months)
Any chance this will be completed? The other regions will never see the JP exclusive content sadly. Maybe the mobile version can help you finish the remaining untranslated parts.
