Get a ntrboot-flashed DS flashcart and restore your NAND backup using GodMode9 - you can use that instead of the SafeB9SInstaller payload if you don't want to install CFW again. If that doesn't help (ie the backup was made AFTER whatever modification you did that means your home menu won't function without CFW) then you'll have to install CFW again.

See https://3ds.guide/ntrboot

If you had followed the guide (it has a section on uninstalling CFW including vital safety checks) you would have realised that your console would not function without CFW. You could have either not uninstalled CFW, or tried restoring your old backup and doing the safety checks again and you wouldn't be in the situation you're now in.

Moral of the story: never follow video guides.

Flashcarts all come from China - you're not allowed to buy from there?

Yes a hardmod could be used. It may or may not help depending on two things, a) if B9S is installed in the backup and b) if the NAND backup is old enough to not have the modification made that causes the home menu to not load without CFW.

I remember that A9LH must be installed in backups because people used to install CFW that way - taking a NAND backup with a hardmod, modifying it, then flashing it back. But is B9S the same? I'm not sure.

If it isn't, then the NAND backup needs to be old enough to not have whatever modification you did that causes the home menu to not load. Otherwise you'll still be in the same situation.

Going to try tagging @zoogie to answer the question about B9S.... He's a DSiWare expert but hopefully has knowledge across the board?

You know what's waaay more expensive? Hardbricking that 3DS because of how easy it is to mess with hardmod. Don't do it!

Take her advice. Get an ntrboot flashcart. Here's a cheap one (cheapest versus better options) that'll do the job. You just need another 3DS or DSi to flash it to ntrboot mode.

the backup of the 3ds is a day before of the brick, so, it's not old, and i dont know if the nand has b9s, but it has A9LH, and i wanna to uninstal CFW to install B9S, so, the 3ds doesn't have B9S

thanks, but i think to buy a r4i gold 3ds plus, i gonna to save some cash and buy it, because i don't have another DS or 3DS to flash and this flashcart has NTRBOOT inside with a switch, i saw a page that sends to Latin America so, I will choose to do that, thanks

but... I dont know how to load GM9 in the flash, where is a guide to see that?

ntrboot (in Spanish). Remember, no video tutorials. Also, stay away from that El Taller De Yakara from Colombia. Read post.

I'll just have to echo what most here are saying: although hardmod is a viable (but risky) solution, getting a pre-flashed ntrboot card is the best option.

Just follow the ntrboot guide but instead of using the SafeB9SInstaller payload, use the GodMode9 one. And then restore your NAND backup and don't do anything on the rest of the page.

If that doesn't work you'll need to follow the whole of the ntrboot guide and install CFW.

ok, i used to look at yakara, but then I understood what videoguides do, well, I'm going to give more laps for GBATEMP that seems to be practically the creators of most of the exploits and the community is very kind
