Just as a fair warning, dont play Shenmue on this yet, there are wrong textures all over the place, on faces, dialog secetors, even on sky textures at night.

This does ruin the mode of the game, so stand off of it for a while until this is fixed. :)

n.

Sounds like you'll really be desperate to find sailors! XD

Already found them. They had correct textures, btw.. ;)

(Played day one on Lakka, and day two on this, so I had a save that already was a little into the game. ;) Also, I know my Shenmue. :) )

were you able to get from underground after getting the light shoes?
To anybody playing Sonic Adventure and getting stuck at the Light Speed Dash part in the sewers, you can just use those machines to spindash up to the hole. I think its an error with reicast where it doesnt spawn a ring and the line gets interrupted.
Just spindash up or spindash and jump off from the machines. Good thing the spindash is so broken because we'd be stuck there otherwise

It’s been said already, but people should look into converting their GDI files to CHD. You will end up with a file smaller than a CDI, completely lossless compression and no extraction needed.

Proof that I found sailors:

:)

Also you see some of the texture glitches in the video. And the hex edit to have no clipping in the 16:9 area (see a few posts prior).

And reicast apparently is the first hombrew, that also captures sound, when you use the switchs videocapture feature.

(Might have been a change in some of the libraries that get used to build homebrew? How is this a thing? Want this on retroarch as well (and scummvm standalone.. ;)), anyone experienced this with other apps?)

(OC used in the video is 1.2 GHz CPU and 384 Mhz GPU via sys-clk.)

Damn, good job! Wasn't expecting it to release this soon. First game I tried was Sonic Adventure and I gotta say, wasn't expecting it to work this well. Had a few hiccups but atleast I was able to play my two favorite stages aka Emerald Coast and Ice Cap Zone (tho it was buggy towards the end). The game "froze" after that. Seems like the CGI cutscenes are bugged or something. Also tried SA2 and Half-Life, but both didn't work (SA2 glitches when the stage is loaded and HL freezes the emulator. The latter is probably a Windows CE game but it's not listed).

Thank you for your work.

Forgot to mention that, I had the same issue with the cdi. Search for the gdi it works. You'll have to put it in a folder because it has additional tracks and add the folder's path to Reicast for it to see it.

I got it working thanks a ton. Do I need to keep the track 1-5 files or is the gdi good enough by itself?

This worked nicely! Got the bios, & tried Sonic adventures (The first one) ran pretty nicely! Thank you for this, Anyone have a redirect /forwarder NSP to run via the homemenu? I have an icon to be used if someone knows how to do that or can link me to a tutorial.

EDIT: Nvm figured out how to do it! Thanks again for this. I can play some sonic on the go now. https://i.imgur.com/1RhCd9r.png

others and I have created a ton of widescreen hex patches for Dreamcast games that will allow you to play in full widescreen without artifacts (unlike reicast built it widescreen option) it also works on real hardware check it out here and enjoy Dreamcast games on your switch in full glory

Sorry, another question...have you(or anyone) tried codebreaker with this? Codebreaker loads, seems to work, but when I get to "open disc lid" Reicast seems to just hang(menu doesn't work) and I have to exit via home button and close software. Not sure if I'm doing this correctly to begin with, tbh. I managed to add Cosmic Smash and the codes provided from your link, btw. Codebreaker loader.cdi hangs at sega screen, also seems to crash/freeze Reicast. Not sure what that one even is. Documentation on this hard to come by, so any help would be much appreciated.

EDIT; Tried out Cosmic Smash codes via codebreaker.cdi on pc version of Reicast, and it worked first try. So, I'm sad to report that codebreaker(the version I have, anyways)is currently borked in Switch Reicast:( Here's to hoping it works once this gets more polished!

Really impressive work here, dumped my entire DC library and games are really working. Project Justice, Ready to Rumble, Shenmue. This is crazy, please don't send me to Lakka.

No update, you just choose Retroarch rom forwarder (even though it's not one) and manually type in the path to the reicast.nro and manually type in the path to the rom. So for Reicast I typed in /switch/reicast.nro/reicast.nro. (the first reicast.nro is a folder)

I tested these all in CHD format:

Working (full speed or near, minor graphical glitches for some, nothing major);
Capcom Vs SNK 2 millionaire fitting 2001
Legacy of Kain soul reaver
Marvel VS Capcom 2 new age of heroes
Ooga Booga
Sonic Adventure (note: haven't tried Chao garden yet)
Sonic Shuffle

Not working;
Sonic adventure 2 ( plays, but graphical glitch already mentioned makes it unplayable)
