It is not useful to anyone, until there is 4.1 to 7.01 support for ipatched users. This is completely useless for people with unpatched switches currently.

Eh? Of course this isn't useful for patched Switches and 4.1+... I'm failing to see why that makes it "not useful to anyone?" It's like you responded to my comment with an answer to your own question.

I responding to a guy who asked what the point of this was. My answer was simple: there is no point to this until it supports 4.1+

can't this make it so i can boot into sx os on my 2.3.0 fuses switch without needed to take a dongle + jig with me? (or just dongle if autorcm)
if so, then it is useful.
lol, how is it completely useless???

Or atmosphere supports emunand.

deja vu requires you to wait for your console to boot, then launch the browser and have your switch connected to a wifi network that is hosting the exploit. You are currently limited to games that will run on 3.0 (emunand will eventually mitigate this).

fusee gelee requires you to plug a dongle in (or fit an internal one) and you can boot straight into 8.0.1 where all games will run.

When atmosphere gets emunand then I will probably downgrade my switch to the earliest it supports and will probably play around with deja vu, but as both exploits are tethered and fusee gelee is the simplest then I'll stick with that.

Would Sxos work via deja vu or does that require rcm? Just curious.

Yes, if you stay on 3.X which means you can only play 3.x games. So functionally, no.

atmosphere does not currently support emunand, so as it stands right now, deja vu has no benefit for non-patched switches.

I agree, but you said "there is no point to this until it supports 4.1+" & if atmosphere supports emunand before deja vu supports 4.1+ then it would still become useful. If still completely impractical.

Well you'll need to be carrying something that can provide a wireless hotspot and host the web exploit, like a phone. A lot of phones can be used as dongles, if you have the right cable.

As you can just use fusee gelee at home and then put it to sleep, the only time you'd need to exploit it again is if the battery runs out. In which case you'd have to be carrying a charger as well anyway. If you're carrying a charger, then why not a dongle?

oh ok I didn't realize this needed an internet connection to load each and every time.
thanks for clearing that up

Good news for some ipatched unit that is 3.0 or below but it's gonna be a lot harder finding does compare to unpatched unit. IMO.

Perhaps it is possible to host the exploit into the browser’s cache like PS4´hen....

No 3.0 ipatched units, all 4.x up!

Of course we will get a local host or a way to run direct from switch in time, it’s not even supporting any ipatched units maybe get the support then look at what is needed to run local, I’m shore it will very depending on units firmware.

Possibly, waiting for that is another barrier in the way of it being useful.

When it can be launched untethered and we have emunand then it will be potentially interesting for ipatched switches. Although I would still prefer a fusee gelee 2 if another exploit is found, because having to boot the switch, load the browser, trigger the exploit and wake the switch up is way too much hassle compared with autorcm and plugging in a dongle.

I don't expect to see any new boot exploit for the ipatched units until Mariko, as they'll not want to tip off Nintendo/nVidia.

I don’t know if this thread is alive, think my question do fit here.

Do anyone know if caffeine gets effected by PegaSwitch? I have a switch on 3.0.0 and have been using PegaSwitch to access HBmenu, now Iam trying to use caffeine without any luck. I only get a black screen when I try to load a payload (Hekate). Is this because I have used PegaSwitch?

Yikes! Here I was waiting too! With so many new games coming out and me not yet hacking my switch, I wonder if it is even worth waiting now??

=/
In my opinion, it is not. Unpatched consoles are still widely available whether online or at your local game shop. You may have to buy used though as the chances of a new console being unpatched are incredibly low. And always double check the serial before purchasing.
