In response to various replies to my last post, it is a fact that SX OS might never support 7.0.x, not an opinion. There is a difference.

In addition, the speculation that we me never see 7.0.x support on SX OS isn't based on nothing. See my earlier posts on the subject.

I think there will be 7.0.x support on SX OS, but it's a very real possibility it won't happen, and I wouldn't recommend that anybody buy SX OS in the meantime until after 7.0.x support is actually released. This isn't unreasonable.

When you add the word ‘might’ to your ‘facts’ it makes what your saying completely redundant.

The amount of things that ‘might’ happen is so large you wouldn’t be able to list them all by this time next week.

You try to present your ‘facts’ as actually hard proven facts, when they are actually just ‘mights’ and ‘maybes’ so that you can spread your dislike of Sx.

I was merely responding to posts claiming I was stating opinions, and nothing more. I don't want to argue semantics. The possibility of no 7.0.x support also isn't baseless.

I can't say "there won't be 7.0.x support" because psychics don't exist. "Might" is all we have.

You know what Json has posted and what he posted MIGHT be more correct than what you've posted. . it's reasonable to believe what he has posted is correct.

the thing is you always say it might not happen.... you need to say.. it might not happen or it might happen.. because.. we just dont know.

If it's true that TX is releasing 7.0.1 support this week, either they've decided to use sept, or _Bison_ was able to convince one of the Atmosphere devs..
Or they found another way.. or the same way themself.. or bypassed sept.. or dunno...

"It`s a fact that they might"......that`s an awesome oxymoron!
Is that like being a little bit pregnant or someone that kind of has cancer, etc..?

I'm sure a few people have posted only 2 people have the keys for TSEC. I don't know if _Bison_ works for TX but look at his past posts, I can't see someone from TX joining this forum and making them posts in late Nov. also he was only on here , i think Monday, could TX come up with a update in only a few days?

also why didn't he ask weeks ago if he was working for TX, why leave it for so long, it doesn't add up.

When the whole room is telling you your wrong mate, maybe it’s time to sit down and let someone else have a go.

I lol'd. I got nothing against the dude. He usually gives really thoughtful unprovoking comments. I'm just puzzled why he bothers coming back here. All he does is cast false hope to those of us who hope to have 7.x some day.

  1. The truthfulness of something is not at all demonstrable by the number of people who agree (or disagree) with it.
  2. My posts regularly get a lot of likes in this thread, and I'm not the only one acknowledging the real possibility there won't be 7.0.x support on SX OS, so come on. Depending on the page you look at, it looks like almost everybody agrees with me (but they don't).
  3. Please check your toxic attitude at the door. I'm not personally attacking you or anyone else. I'm merely acknowledging what's possible, and I've argued what I think are good reasons to think these things are possible. Regardless of what anybody thinks is going to happen, it would be risky to buy SX OS before 7.0.x support comes out.

Okay SX has four option in my opinion, but only the first two I can see as viable for them to do

Viable
  • Use sept and admit they use atmosphere based code
  • Not use sept and not have 7.0.x+ support
Not Viable
  • Get hold of the key to sign sept
  • Use a non sept exploit
Dunno if viable/ not viable is the word... what if they do have a non sept exploit ? what if they have the keys ?...they could use it.. its viable.. i think its better to say .. easier and harder.

for "updates" not "update" !!!! is this even related to SX OS ? you have a link for the actual thread ?
It's the sxos update. The mods on that forum had starting hinting about it the last couple of days.

...but if TX has the proper keys in hand, couldn't they just rewrite their own version of sept?

It might be, but there's no reason to assume it will be. It's also possible they won't ever have 7.0.x support.
It might be a fact that they could possibly have their own exploit. This is just potentially viable and could even be an option.

If they used a non sept exploit they risk burning it, If they have the keys they would already have resigned with their own splash and put a release out would they not?

They could, but the keys are only known to a small handful of people in the entire scene, I bet they would have more luck paying off a nvidia employee for them

I dunno about this but atmos came and all switches where vulnerable.. why did they release it ? they burned.. what if nintendo or nvidia didint know ? ( actually want to know, i dont know)
They could be adapting the restarting to payload from atmos and other stuff ? dunno... one had to know a non sept way to do it to know what the update would entail.
