Atmosphere also supports rebooting into Hekate in the result of a crash, so there really is no need for a jig nor payload injector anymore...

Could this be explained a bit more please? or could someone provide a link with more information on how to do this please?

The newes version of atmosphere let's you reboot directly to an "injectable payload".
Check its git.

I downloaded the latest kosmos atmosphere from sdsetup, does that have it? it says its 0.8.3 atmosphere.
How do I Know if it is working?

When I reboot by holding the power button and selecting reboot, it doesnt reboot back into hekate or atmosphere or anything. It reboots into black screen rcm. is that not how it works?

Just make sure to get one with a battery. Don't use the capacitors one since they're not as good as the ones with a battery. I started the NS atmosphere thread but i would advise choosing an RCMloader dongle since it's small, the same price and looks quite good.

Guys i buyed sx os + sx pro and i have a three questions.

1. To install cfw i need microsd but on that micro sd i can copy games to play ?

2. If i dont have wifi, exactly want stay offline i can run games if update for that game is required ?

3. Should i update switch to 6.0 ? And after that install cfw sx os ?

You need something to inject a payload. It could be a computer and a usb c cable. If you want something portable then you can use a phone and a usb on the go C cable, or one of these injectors.

I don't have either a usb c cable or a usb on the go cable, so I would have had to buy something & so I got a ns-atmosphere from aliexpress with a new customer discount for something like $8. It came with a jig so I didn't need to mess around with paper clips and it's so much easier to just plug in and turn it on, than hooking it up to a pc or mobile.

If you already have the parts necessary to hook your switch up to a computer or phone and that works for you & can make or buy a jig cheaper then go for it.

The reboot to rcm changes in atmosphere don't help if the battery runs out. The main advantage of the injectors over a PC is that you can leave it in the same bag as your switch and carry it everywhere. A phone is similar, if you've always got it with you and remember to put the usb on the go C cable in the bag.

What do you mean with "it's not out yet"?
According to what I read, the latest version (0.8.3) already boots directly to "an injected payload" when atmosphere has a fatal error (I have no idea which payload nor if it's possible to select which one).

Also according to what I've read, you can clone the git, compile and try it on your console.

Is it stable?
Nope.
But that doesn't mean "it's not out yet".

Feel free to install software before it's been released, don't expect others to.

How do you make 0.8.3 reboot into a payload when you remove the sdcard? That is the main reason I need to re-inject.

I only said that the latest version had that possibility (my mistake in considering the latest git commits as a "version"), that's it.

As far as I can read, on 0.8.3 that only happens when there's a fatal error on the Atmosphere firmware.
You'll have to get the unreleased version for that (apparently).

I JUST use my huawei mate 10pro +OTG connector, I think almost all android phones+OTG can do that, u don't even have to buy payload sender to mod ur switch.

2. Stay offline. Updates for games can be acquired like you would the games. Updates are installable *.nsp files

3. BACKUP FIRST. You can update to 6.2 if you like to get support for newer games. It would have to be done manually with choidujournx and make sure you choose to install exfat support. <---- if you choose to do so make sure you understand what you are doing fully before you begin.

I ask because I have seen people accidentally buy an extra license.

Not sure I fully understand but,
Yes, it will generate a "license-request.dat" file on your SD card.(either when using pro dongle or when license key is entered manually) To activate offline, insert SD card into pc, upload to https://sx.xecuter.com/sxos-license.html , you will be provided an activation file which you will need to put onto the root of your SD card. Activation complete.

Hope that is what you needed.

Recommend powering down switch and putting SD card in an adapter. There is homebrew to access via USB, and FTP on network but unnecessary.
