SX pro is smaller, but expensive but it uses capacitors
NS atmosphere is bigger and has battery that last for several months
RCMloader is small and uses battery just like NS atmosphere

All 3 has jig with them.

    Get RCMloader.

SX OS + Rcm loader one
From my experience rcmloader one is better than SX pro as it have 3 payload (sxos, atmosphere and reinex) and a chargeable battery.
SX OS is the best CFW if you don't mind paying for the license.

Get whichever is cheaper. The end result is largely the same.

or just use a paperclip and a sd card mate... save ya money...

i have 2 switches and both used paperclip, booted to rcm mode, sent payload from laptop, and i just dont let them run out of battery... however if you get them onto charge within 2 mins of them dying then you dont need the paperclip again or rcm mode

Personal preference. People here will swear by and shit on both options.

I usually recommend sxos for simplicity for the people that want to just get files (xci, nsp, nro) and just play them without any conversion.

    This advice.....
If you can avoid it don't use a paperclip.... Likely to damage rail pins overtime.

The first question you should ask yourself is, are you a cheap skate or have money to spend?

I used a paperclip to get into RCM, installed AutoRCM, and never looked back.

Atmosphere also supports rebooting into Hekate in the result of a crash, so there really is no need for a jig nor payload injector anymore. If you don't want to spend much money, all you need are the following:
    1. A paperclip of the right size (used one time)
    2. A cable that connects your Switch to a computer or Android phone
    3. The aforementioned computer or Android phone

This depends if you are a kid or an adult i guess... if you angle it correctly by using long nose grips to mate a S shape but with a straight end to it then it actually slides in and out percectly every time without causing any damage what so ever.

another option is to use some power or speaker cable it will all do the same thing and speaker cable is bendy and wont cause any damage

also you can now use ArgonNX and boot to any payload so sxos (if you pay for licence), reinx or atmosphere

i did what you did and like you said it just works now and i dont have to send payloads so therefore dont use the paperclip more than once

If used properly, the paperclip is about as safe as a jig. In addition, the paperclip will only be used once to install AutoRCM, so it's unlikely to cause damage.

The OP asked which was better. While a paperclip can be used, I would find it a disservice to provide a vague suggestion to an end user. Paperclips range in size, material, and guage. Now if the suggestion specified to get ABC size paperclip, bend to XYZ dimensions and advised to BE CAREFUL when shorting pins ---at that point you have fully informed the end user.

essentially, there is a folder structure for better organization of your files. XCI can be played off of SD card. NSP will need to be installed.

    3. Folder structures

SX OS V1.5 and later supports different folder structures and folder scanning for games, that is prefect! Not having to store everything on the SD root is the most useful for any user. You can creat all these 8 folders in your SD Card. No difference. More choices.

    • /sxos/games
    • /sxos/xci
    • /sxos/nsp
    • /sxos
    • /switch/games
    • /switch/xci
    • /switch/nsp
    • /switch

you must install the nsp,xci files on any os to my knowledge mate

i agree with what your saying i said that as an idea and as what i had done... if the OP was interested in this method i would hope they would ask for more information and or a guide on how to do this and then i would have gone further into detail for them

The following paperclip guide should be followed:

I just bought a 3D printed RCM tool on ebay for $2 free shipping. Just do that and Atmosphere. Easy peasy
