While a Nintendo Switch version of Spyro Reignited Trilogy hasn't been officially confirmed, it's starting to really look like the game is headed to the Switch, regardless. First, we saw the game listed on Nintendo UK's store page, going so far as to take pre-orders for the game, despite it not existing. A few months later, and Activision's own website listed the game for PC and Switch, before quickly amending it to only show PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Now, for the third time, Spyro has been teased, with GameStop Germany putting a product page up, only to take it down a few hours later. Before it was removed, the listing claimed that Spyro Reignited Trilogy would launch for the Switch on August 16, 2019. Still, nothing has been said by publisher Activision, but a reveal seems imminent at this point.

because the reason for the ps4,xb1 release is that they sent it to production before ending the third game codding, thats why it was produced without it, maybe later when they reprint it on ps4/xb1 they will have all 3.

for the switch they have no excuse to say they didn't finish remaking the third game before making the order.

wut? No, that's definitely not what happened. The disc only actually features the entire first game, some parts of 2 and 3 weren't added to the disc but they didn't exclude it because it wasn't finished.

The Switch version definitely won't have the full game on cartridges, either, since the game sits somewhere at 20-30GB and Switch cartridges are exponentially more expensive to produce than bog standard BD discs.

crash tirilogy was 37 gb on ps4 and on switch it was like 13gb lol

just becuase its big on ps4 doesnt mean it the same filesize on switch.

well spyro only the first game is on disc on ps4 and xb1, the 2nd and third need a download so even if they make 2 games on switch is already better than ps4/xb1 retail disc lol.

Spyro was in development around the time everyone called it the 'NX'. Meaning we didn't even know the Switch's gimmick let alone how successful it may be. The only point of reference was the Wii U and we all know how that story turned out. The Switch's launch wasn't even particularly outstanding primarily being carried by the Legend of Zelda so of course developers and investors may have been a bit sheepish. Now that the Switch keeps topping sales figures, everybody wants their own slice of the pie and are rushing to put anything on the console, easiest of which is a port.

Another possible theory is that Activision had an exclusivity deal to not launch Spyro on the Switch until a certain amount of time passed. This was the case for the Crash Bandicoot remake where the game was slated to be a PS4 and Xbox One exclusive for a year until it was finally allowed to be released on the Switch. Why that is the case is kinda weird to me since most people would have played it on the other consoles by the time the Switch version is out.
