You're playing the game and not just viewing the character select screen, right? Iirc further modifications are required for them to appear differently on the character select screen.Need help with CTGP!!
Im having a problem figuring out how to get my Custom Characters to show.
I have a bunch of .szs files and a driver.szs file. I put them in the folder labeled My Stuff in ctgpr folder.
I did enable the My Stuff option in settings also, but they dont show.
What am I missing?
Regular Wii by the way.
What do you mean? Ive played the game, yes, but not with custom characters. How can I play with a custom character if it doesnt appear in the character select screen?sssssssssss

Those people probably put further mods into theirs, I don't even know what they put in for that.Than why can you see the characters in the select screen on peoples youtube videos?
Modmii would be a great way, in my opinion, if you don’t want to learn everything about softmodding again to do it.With not touching my wii console in like 10 plus years. What would be my easiest way to look at softmodding the console? Im looking to see if it will run gc games at full speed since my gc disc is giving me issues and I thought this might be a suited way to enjoy the game.
Thankies. I get tired of walking to my gc to open and close the lid every time I hit a spot where the gc crashes. This should be greatModmii would be a great way, in my opinion, if you don’t want to learn everything about softmodding again to do it.
I had the same problem, but found out that it was the disc that was faultyThankies. I get tired of walking to my gc to open and close the lid every time I hit a spot where the gc crashes. This should be great
Ya, disc has got a scratch on it. and causes crashes at 2 certain points in game. The game is a bit harder to get ahold of. and i think this will make a good replacement to it.I had the same problem, but found out that it was the disc that was faulty
Hello,
@ZenXero
For the SD, try to reformat it. Or watch if the little "Lock" on the side of the SD is not write blocking.
Otherwise get yourself a 2 GB SD and follow this guide (Modmii) to update your hack ==>https://gbatemp.net/threads/modmii-for-windows-official-support-topic.207126/
@ZenXero
The 2GD SD card is only needed if you're on a lower firmware. What firmware are you on?
If you're on 4.2 or 4.3 already you can use any size card as long as it's formatted FAT32 32k. As an example my main Wii is on 4.3U using a 256GB SDXC card formatted to FAT32 32k cluster size. I did have to use a 2GB card on it originally because it was on something like 3.4U, but once modded with ModMii (linked above) I was on 4.3 and was able to just copy the contents over to a larger card.
Not sure about 4.1 firmware though, that might not have been able to read larger cards. Most Wii's I mod theses days are already on 4.3 and I just use a 16GB card on them to get them going using ModMii. BTW always use ModMii, none of those other guides. It's the easiest and I'm now push about 40 installs using it. Thanks @XFlak !!
The issue is that the lower Nintendo Wii firmware just can't read the larger card sizes. Once updated to the higher firmware all card sizes work, even to mod them for the first time.
Edit: When you're ready, just use ModMii and choose that it's your first time installing when asked in the menu. It won't hurt anything and doesn't matter what you've already modded it with, it'll just overwrite things and put your Wii as it should be.
