A good case, with slots to hold cartridges, cleaning cloth etc, and the Anker Switch Portable Charger if you wanna extend your battery life. If i remember correctly, Nintendo assisted in it's development to make it safe for the Switch

A good powerbank, screen protector, pro controller, thumb grips, switch stand, and a good switch carry bag.

Psa: Some switch case can be incompatible with the dock and comfort grips so check first when buying.

#1) Buy a tempered glass screen protector
#2) Don't buy a Pro Controller. Buy a 8bitdo Adapter or a Mayflash Magic-NS and use your PS4 Controller, Xbox One Controller or others.
#3) Buy a case if you want to take it outside
#4) Buy a large SD card and choose your CFW

Glass screen protector, case(s) of your choice, pro controller, some sort of stand for tabletop mode, USB network adapter if your WiFi signal is questionable.

Powerbanks: a standard 5V 2A powerbank of your choice in size will hold the battery relatively steady while playing and slowly charge. A USB C PD will actually charge it while playing and with a proper wall charger the powerbank can be charged in 4 hours. Anker and RavPower are the most popular with the 26800 models the largest that can still travel in an airplane cabin. The RavPower is cheaper than the Anker but does not include a wall charger. The RavPower can occasionally be found for ~$54 on Amazon Lightning Deals, set a camelcamelcamel alert. The Amazon Basics USB C to C cable is rated well and reasonably priced. This is the setup I went with, selecting a slightly more expensive wall charger for extra USB A ports while traveling.

I used this $18 Kmashi 15000mAh with the USB C-A pro controller cable before I bought the big RavPower.

Here is a link to the more expensive Anker

This huge case is good if you need to travel with the dock, extra controllers and other accessories, but you should have a small $12 console only case for around town. (I have two kids and 3 Switches)

How is that Nintendo boycott in your signature working out for you? :rofl2:

1. Tempered glass (day 1 purchase) - https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Switch-Protector-amFilm-2017/dp/B01N3ASPNV/

2. Case , I recommend the nyco thin case because is dockable, but maybe you prefer a hard case to avoid fall damage. I have the nyko case, a case is usefull to avoid the fingers to tear down the black color in the back because of the grease.

https://www.amazon.com/Mumba-Nintendo-Switch-Rubberized-release/dp/B071ZRM6C1/

3. Pro controller ( i just get one recently, great performance, but i bought it in order to not have to detach the joycons each time (i got lazy), and to play it in the bed.

4. Travel case (I initialy have the official case, but now i need more room to travel with the charger and a pro controller) -> lots of options.

5. Another AC adapter - One to stay always in the dock, and another to move with

If you're going to play a lot in a portable mode, make a gift to your hands & buy a grip-case (I prefer Skull & Co.'s, but there're many more choices). Otherwise if you mostly prefer a stationary mode, get a Pro controller.

Didn't skull & co have the issue where it was really hard to press the R and L buttons?

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
