All those are possible and even in TWL/AGB modes, but there's really no point really. Personally, I like that the game resumes from where you left off without having to go through all the logos and intros all over...
By possible you mean someone could write this mod, or a mod already exists with these capabilities?

If the former, where do I get started? :P

Well, for example, by "bottom screen", I take it you are referring to the GB/GBC type of bottom screen with that grey or whatever that color is (don't remember since I haven't played those in ages), so just find a CIA version of the game, unpack it, then find the bottom image in the files and replace it with one you want using the image tool from Kuriimu's package, then repackage the CIA and install. You can probably disable it (as in not able to click) with more complicated means too but if you meant black screen, just replace the bottom screen images with a black screen using the same method.

For remapping buttons, outside of AGB firm, there are apps that can do it, even Rosalina does (I think), but I can't remember any of the names of the apps.

Not sure about disabling auto-saving, as it's not auto-saving but rather a literal save-state, it's how virtual console games work, but possibly could be done, however hasn't been done before to my knowledge.

There is in fact a reliable DS/DSi "emulator" (runs the DSi homescreen) although it takes up a lot of space on the SD card.

My first run through installing this on O3DS and Pokemon White and Black runs well so a 100Mb+ game. Also runs GBA/GBC/NES (meh)
It can run:.nds/.gbc/.gba/.nes
(Runs thru nesDS)
I've found it runs GBC games better than any other emulator I've tried (Includes GameYob)

for some reason I can't hyperlink so search for it on home page

I'm not saying people wouldn't have know already here, just might want to update list and link it somewhere other than on my post....unless this thread is now dead

NOTE: I ave not tested any GBA emulations yet so i have no idea if they run but the application runs .nds files so it can't be too far off....

Running:
Luma3DS v9.1,b9s
gm9 v1.7.1
On:
O3DS 11.8.0-41U

What are you even talking about? The 3DS could never possibly emulate NDS because it doesn't have the power to do so, however it has the ACTUAL NDS and GBA hardware and FIRMs inside it, so it actually is able to run the games NATIVELY. It's not emulation. For NDS it's nds-bootstrap and has been out for YEARS, even if it was only lately that it's compatibility was greatly increased. Also, for GBA, you can play them ALL natively just fine if you convert the ROMs to CIA with something like NSUI and you can also play NES, GBC, SNES, Famicon, GB, SG-MG, Game Gear, PC Engine, etc. can also run similarly by making them into CIAs, although not natively, but also all of those besides GBA can be emulated too without any issues. GBA emulation is a bit shaky still though, reason injected CIAs of games are preferable...

PS: You can't post links until you have at least 10 posts.

What's it called? It's not twloader/srloader/dsimenu++, is it?
Of course you can't post links because you're a new member. Make a few useful posts/comments on some other threads/forums, then add the download link for the "emulator". Or just give us the link like this:

http colon slash slash www dot example dot com slash file dot zip

or like that. You could also just add a screenshot of the link.

Indeed it is DSi++ some disagree with the term "emulator" (hence the para in 1st pt) but in most cases this is what it is used for. If I am to be corrected please tell me so.

Also thank you for the clarification on hyperlinks:)

It's not emulation at all, it's just the native hardware in NDS mode. Doesn't take almost any room and compatibility is decent but shaky for some titles and there are many ways to play NDS games like that as DSi++, TWLoader, injects, etc. are all basically front-ends of nds-bootstrap. No reason to post about it here considering it has it's own thread, with each front-end having it's own separate one on top.

im still holding out for an in game audio player.

just some way to play MP3s off of the SD card during games.

i tried my hand at it once luma plugins became a thing, but to no avail.
I THINK this was tried once but got cancelled. I'd like it too honestly, it would be similar to that PSP homebrew that let you have any music you wanted playing during games while also having the option to mute the game sounds and only have your music playing. Was great for short recordings of gameplay for youtube as it needed almost no editing!

There is a program similar to this on the PSP, but they have completely different OS so It would be difficult to replicate. What I think would be nice if the could put a program
that runs in the same bar as friends list/notifications bar that could, in theory, run mp3, But as ThoD said it was indeed dropped due to the extreme strain on the system
especially o3DS.

You CAN make it so an app is launched from one of those icons in the notes/FL/browser/etc. bar, but requires modifying the SysNAND (meaning high risk of brick) and even then you got a LOT of limitations on it (eg: size, number of files the app has, etc.). Also, it would be pointless, if you can go on there, what's keeping you from opening apps normally?:P Finally, it IS possible without any strains or anything to implement, it was dropped because there was no one interested in helping out and was too much work for one person, just that, but it's entirely possible to make an app that works as an overlay similarly to NTR that replaces/masks the game sounds with music from your SD card, both on old and new 3DS.

So as you said in the reply about the PSP mp3 overlay program, considering the difference in OS capability, you use an OVERLAY of audio, is this hinting at not being able to toggle without first exiting and closing software? The 3DS when a game is being played it has full hardware control so i would think it limits the usage a sepperate program has.

A small "idea".
How about making an app that takes your current streetpass data into a file (.multipass for example, watch this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fifth_Element if you didn`t get it :) ) or QR-code. Then you can send it to someone or receive it from someone using forums, groups, discord etc. You put received file into a folder and import it through the app or just scan the QR-code with it.
This will be good replacement for homepass and streetpass. For example, in my town I can`t get even 1 streetpass data :(

There are ways using boss data for plaza to reuse miis. Im just not sure if loading said data onto another 3ds would work or even add to the street pass count.

It is https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-reuse-miis-in-streetpass-mii-plaza.468337/ if you have not read that before.

I would really like a background program to adjust the RGB of my screens. My n3dsxl is horribly mismatched. I can get my screens matched up with LCDtweaker, but I would love a more permanent fix.

Same, except I would like something to turn down the brightness even further than the 3ds allows. When I play in bed, even on the lowest setting my n3ds is too bright, and I have to play under the covers, all hot and impossible to breathe, or my parents might see the glow from my screen. I can't do it using LCDtweaker, because every time I use the brightness slider for some reason it skips back. Adjusting the RGB values doesn't help either: it makes the colours darker, but the glow coming from my screen is still the same. I also want a permanent approach (iirc there was something, either ctrbootmanager/ctrbootmanager9 or something but I don't know how to use it... There was something that launched an app/homebrew on startup, don't remember what). A warm colour filter would be nice, too.

Ctr redshift can do the blue light filter.

If you are using o3DS the brightness settings are less extensive than n3DS so could someone recreate n3DS brightness settings somehow?
