Then what she/He did? lol
Extracted the title installer from SX OS. This one is arguably better than Tinfoil because the if the latter were to install DLC, it would ruin your Switch (its been documented to happen). That's where there are big warnings associated with Tinfoil and DLC. However, Tinfoil still has the ability to carry over the repacked .NSP files to their original firmware while Rommenu (TX's title installer) does not.

You make it sound like it's something weird and new. Never heard of modchips or flashcarts? Pretty sure they've never been free. Even in the 90's there were addons for consoles where you could play cart dumps from a floppy disk. They cost a bloody fortune.
Not comparable. The difference is that those are tangible, physical objects that are REQUIRED to pirate AND use for homebrew. SX OS only needs a few software files.

Remember the people we're dealing with here. The people interested in SX OS are pirates. They already don't care about "stealing" software. SX OS is not excused from this attitude towards software. If it is soft method, it can and will be pirated as well. Nothing is sacred.

I feel this argument that "games cost a fortune" is complete bullshit. You literally spend the amount to buy a Switch game or two to purchase SX OS. It's almost poetic how there is specifically a $35 eshop card.

LMAO that everyone hating on TX and "refusing to use it or pay" but will use it when its cracked.

Nice double-standards there kids!

Rather hypocritical wouldn`t you say?
Not really. Why would you expect people who want to pirate software for the Switch to not pirate the software needed to pirate onthe Switch?

Its pinned in the ReiSwitched Discord server in the reinx-help channel. It is also found in the newest revision of the stash which you can locate by asking in the same Discord server.
So the title/NSP installer has now been dumped and it's working now on the "cracked' SX OS?
This basically means all that's remaining now is just the XCI loader and sigpatches?

This kind of shit only discourages TX from updating their product and including brick code back in and into their future products. Really? $25 for a license is too much? I get the want to tinker with stuff, by all means go for it. But keep it to yourself. I want SX OS to be successful so that they have a reason to keep updating it and adding features.

There seems to be double standards at play. On the one hand, nothing is sacred so pirate everything.. on the other, don't steal open source code cos ethics and law and it's... sacred?
The only people who give a damn about "stolen code" are the tribalists, so absorbed in their "god", sniffing the farts of devs and claiming one is superior over the other.

Nah, I think this will encourage them to make new updates.
Also I wouldn’t be surprised if they already have some big features and are waiting for this version to get cracked so they push the new update with better security

Better security is bad for the customers man. Im a developer (ive released several tools here on GBA temp before), and this kind of fuckery would encourage me to move on to other projects, or to put brick code back in without feeling bad about it at all. My new patch notes would read that you guys cried out that you didnt want it, so I removed it, then you went on and exploited it, so im adding it back in because clearly you cant be trusted.

And for anyone naive enough to think "it already got all the features we want, who cares", well, you know how Card 2 games came out and werent compatible, Im sure we'll see CardB and CardC and card99 and whatever, as is evidenced from previous generations of nintendo hardware (look at how hard it was to play Pokemon on carts that were made and abandoned before its release on GBA).

Bottom line is that $25 is not much money, especially when you are saving hundreds by not buying games. TX is basically a dealer, getting you the good shit, and you are screwing the dealer. Its never a good thing to screw a dealer you want to keep doing business with.

That being said, I have zero problems with taking all that open source stuff that TX supposedly stole anyways and repackaging into our own thing, making a competitive product. But I am against fucking with the dealer.

Actually a nand restore fixed it, but still yea.

Also:
To everyone who hates TX, many developers didn't want to be first to give a way of "backup" loading, they did it, a few weeks later look how the scene has changed, all of us who like backups, should be thankful for that, tho I suppose it would've came sooner or later anyway.
