Nice move big N! Now people will clear out hackable stocks, an additional pressure arise to release Deja Vu (hope they keep it till Mariko), and then bring Mariko to life (ideal for N to patch out out the Deja Vu too). Big profits are coming!
Since I'm still waiting for my SX Pro and should wait for a couple of week if it's not month, I was also waiting to buy a Switch, but after reading this new, I’m a little bit scared to wait longer.
If I buy today, how can I make sure to have an exploitable version? There is a way with the serial number, manuf. Date or firmware version ? Since I have no jig, I cant test and I’m not a big fan about the paperclip method.
Are there any cases reported in north America or all the case are located in Japan?
Thank for your help.
just use tin foil for rcm that what i did.
You can then try to hakate Payload or SX os payload with out backup loading to see if it will take it.
I was thinking about doing it. If that's risky is there a safer alternative? The jig I got off ebay hasn't worked for me.This is a good way to accidentally short the high voltage pin and burn the system.
I received a new Switch today. I take it there is no way to find out if it's an ipatched version without opening it?
What country did you purchase it?
It seems the only reports we have are from the asia markets.
I bought one 2 weeks ago in the US fresh out a shipment
so what are the symptoms of a patched switch? goes into rcm but doesn't load the payload?
Don't worry about using tinfoil, I've been using it countless of times before I bought a jig. So far so good my switch is fine and no issues.I was thinking about doing it. If that's risky is there a safer alternative? The jig I got off ebay hasn't worked for me.
Alright cool I'll try it soon then though I am curious how hard was it to find a jig that worked for you? I can't tell where to buy one from that'll actually work.Don't worry about using tinfoil, I've been using it countless of times before I bought a jig. So far so good my switch is fine and no issues.
I hope 214 fixes the hardware flaws in 210.
warping, stick drifting, cracked shell around the edge.
Yes, all old models can update as much as they want and Fusee Gelee will always work.
However: Softmods are only possible on 4.1.0 and under. For coldboot you need to be on 3.0.1 or lower.
Is this only for recently bought switches? I bought one in Japan in April this year at Toys r Us and it came with 4.1.0. I already updated it to 5.1.0. I haven't tried RCM tho.We are basing this of user reports, I have personally had two people asking me to help them with new Switches and its been impossible to get the payloads to work, thus they must be patched, several others have also reported this.
Try if you can and report back. Chances are yours is fine, though. Is this only for recently bought switches? I bought one in Japan in April this year at Toys r Us and it came with 4.1.0. I already updated it to 5.1.0. I haven't tried RCM tho.
