Hi guys. Long story short I have an unused account somebody I don't associate with anymore made on my Wii U and I really, really want to stop seeing it every time I boot, but I can't really afford to contact this person at the same time.

Is there any way that I can delete their account without Nintendo's help? Googling about it I found an older thread where people mentioned ftpiu everywhere, so are there any known ways to pull this off using that? There aren't any games tied to this user so losing tickets wouldn't be an issue.

Each folder is a different account. Click on folder and view/edit account.dat to look at information. When you find the correct one delete the folder example 800001, 800002, 800003, etc. Then restart wii u

@jbuck1975: Which program are you using to access the Wii U and what is the FTP address?

@jbuck1975 Is it possible to get the nnid password from account.dat itself? I bought a secondhand Wii U which had haxchi already installed, but the seller never told me the password and I have noway to contact him now.

I can't believe this feature isn't built in to the Wii U OS. I take it for granted, to the degree that I've never even bothered to look.
