Ok lol, how does a tweet from an actual hacker that completely contradicts what you're saying mean anything?
his tweet is a contradiction. He claims brick code can trigger in normal usage(no proof) and then goes on to say that it's unlikely unless your messing with voltages and time sensitive stuff. So which one is it? This shows me he either has no clue how he got bricked or is really just smearing TX.

I literally said the same thing to myself too
Normal users won't get affected

Fuck him and fuck atmosphere
I'll stick with TX because they've been doing way more than reswitched qnyway. Plus reswitched are some self riteous pricks who get triggered so easily. Bunch of SJWs

He tweeted early that there is brick code, which their is. Then he tweeted that it could only be triggered by messing with things that would allow you to dump the os etc. He made a tweet then retracted it, what's the problem?

Wtf do you mean proof? The code is there, there's your proof.

Did you ever program anything yourself ?

if they did not include some kind of timer or any way to remote control trough the internet (which wouldn't work while offline) I don't see how they would activate any brick code.

And adding a timer would be incredibly stupid as they want to sell stuff, so this would kill off their income.

But if course with their crystal ball they can see "ohhhhhh this is GraFfiX420's switch now we will destroy it" xD

Sorry man but even if you are not entirely wrong about the possibility that it is possible to maybe add something that lets them trigger a brick, the chances are not very high

I see, I've been a coder for several years. I've never included code for nothing. Maybe its purely to stop reversal, but its there, the os is closed source, they can do whatever they want.

Just because you're console is flagged doesn't mean you'll be banned automatically. I had an Xbox 360 that was flagged for using iXtreme FW and never got banned. They did institute ban waves consoles when the customer firmware was initially released, but they stopped doing it at the end of console's life cycle. Nintendo also probably categorize the flags based on cause, so some of you that are still online might have a less severe flag than someone who used LayeredFS. A less severe flag for example would be two people that use a private (well, private among them only) certificate that play online at the same time.

Also, when Nintendo does carry out these ban waves, they also risk on banning legitimate users if they fuck up, so it's not something they are going to be doing en masse as often as you'd think.

I'm unsure if Nintendo is willing or not to potentially screw a couple legitimate users for the overall good of the community (in their eyes).
Also in an unrelated note your post is leet

Its not like bans are irreversible. As long as the innocent make a move and can prove their innocence, then it'll be treated like a hiccup. The question is how would Nintendo differentiate between legitimate and illegitimate bans...
