No, that was gateway. And so far absolutely no evidence links gateway and TX in any way. So please take your conspiracy theories elsewhere.

There exist a method that "most likely would work" regardless of the version, spoofing the console fingerprint.

I wouldn't follow this thread if TX somehow managed license delivery for Pro buyers differently... as in, deliver all licenses by mail and not with the dongle... because OS buyers (cheaper) are already playing and I'm still waiting for my dongle, probably for another week or so

Eh it's hardware based exploit, Nintendo can't do anything unless they make a new console. Look at 3ds, they patched every exploit in every new update until the 3ds got busted wide open

If they didn't use that chip I doubt we manage to reach this point

Hopefully they give a statement about card2-support soon. The crack would be nice too, but it would be better to use their stuff for an open-source version instead of just cracking it.
