Anyone know why Canary builds refuse to function properly on my rig? Used sickc build 0118 no problems, and all previous unofficial builds too. Any Canary-based build has massive slowdown and crashes for me (on "OpenGL missing texture" stuff) when everyone else says it offers speedups. Messing around with JIT/Hardware Shaders options does nothing.

EDIT: Actually, changing renderer from GPU to CPU seems to work. Radeon HD5850--unsupported?

If you want good amd citra support you need to use Linux with Mesa drivers

Even though Citra on Vulcan is an April Fool joke, but way back before that, it was almost a thing around 2016 tbh. Heck, there was a livestream before.

I believe that he stopped working on it anymore.

Hmm, alience alive keeps crashing for me on the latest sick build (with fmv hack) any other custom builds out there that have the fmv hack?

i'm not sure if it was windows 10 but this game seem to be more faster with windows 7 ,the loading times was so long before
/: the 3d is too cloudy during the fights and scenes

Actually for me works fine when installing nvidia drivers on ubuntu.
On antergos, it runs bad with nvidia and better with intel.
Why do you think mesa is better with citra?

Mesa is the community version of opengl drivers specifically for AMD cards which runs better than the official drivers released by AMD Themselves

Hi, sry for my bad EG , i used from months MINGW builds, who mostly work for me, i play few rpg like Fire Emblem etc..., but from build 407 ahead they changed something and emulator dont even let me go in option now, so i stuck with older builds from 406 down.

I use the github canary builds (adress), forum doenst let me post link.


I know a lot ask what rig i use, is a ws10 x64, i7 skylake, 16 gb ram, gtx 1060, all updates. Aside few fps drops random, emu works great, no crash no nothing. I already install official night and is worse, after 10 min of Fire Emblem A. it crashed on me.


From what i saw they changed the number of files in MINGWs, are double or more now inside main folder, i dont know what this is, but wihout a log i cant say.


Is normal that i cant send any pm to members ? or im so noob i dont know to find option ?


Update 1 - somehow latest build (409 MINGW) work like normal, they fix the bug (maybe ?), but i cant see better fps - at least in Fire Emblem A. i have drops, random, when spellcasting...enemy or me. Btw i played 50h.

1) To access the "Configure" menu, simply open the View, Multiplayer or Help tabs and then move your mouse.
It's a bug in the GUI, I assume they're going to fix it soon.

Also, since the Canary Builds are an official branch of versions of Citra, matters related to them probably goes in the official Citra thread.

Ty but i cant send PM, maybe only old staff can, NVM, bug was fixed as i say, after playing for so long, how can i didnt know menu basics ?.....

Is normal cause im not active member here, but i didnt want to make a big post of it, thats for a reason nr 1. I wanted to ask a old member etc, first.

Bad think is i (we) dont know log changes, like in ps2 emu, i mean if the new build has some changes i dont use - i dont get it, like minor stuff, language or cheats.

one old question again...is pokemon x playable?
No. They freeze after the introduction, they freeze whenever your pokémon levels up, they freeze whenever you pick up an item and they freeze whenever you catch a pokémon. Supposedly, they also freeze when you get a Gym Badge.
It's been like that for way more than a year now, and it doesn't look like things will get better for those 2 anytime soon.

one old question again...is pokemon x playable?
Instead of asking the same old questions every single month, why not wait for Citra's announcements?
Asking it again and again every month is pretty annoying to be honest. I know you want to play the whole main Pokemon Game before the Switch Version comes out soon. But at least do something than asking the same old questions.

It's pretty pointless to ask anyone if Pokemon X works or not when it's not good to play on Citra for now.

Are there any updates on custom builds?

It has been pretty calm lately and my guess is that 90% of the development is going to the switch emulator and because of that it slowed down development for the citra team by a large margin. I could be wrong of course, but no news in weeks is kind of a shame to see.
