Files easy to edit so far.
I fast translated some names, so if you find "names" that I miss tell me! :)
Maybe, I would translate pictures later (If I successfully unpack them)
I would not translate this game. If you want you can take it,
I post this here, because no one still done it.

I have this setting on my computer for a while now and before I forget again. Here are the event dialog scripts for OOO. Anyone who wants to translate OOO can use and clone the files.

You can modify everything in the lua script. The lua programming is pretty straightforward and some of the codes are even documented and categorized so if you're having trouble with the text space, don't worry about it. You can have as many space as you needed if modify the lua script.

Ex: call_WinMsg( ID.name, ID.txt, ID.voice, "" );

The rest of the text (menu) are somewhere in the awb files, I think... I'm not sure.

Info:
  • Platform: PSVita
  • JP Title: 魔法科高校の劣等生 Out of Order (Mahouka Koukou no Retousei - Out of Order)
  • EN Title: The Irregular at Magic High School - Out of Order
  • Game ID: PCSG00456
Simple how-to
  • Dump your copy of the game, if mai good, if nonpdrm then you'll have to decrypt the ux0:app/PCSG00456 with VitaShell
  • Copy the file ux0:app/PCSG00456/Data/CRIFS/imh.cpk to your computer
  • Use CPKTools to unpack the cpk file
  • Clone or download repo and paste it in the extracted imh.cpk. Overwrite existing files when asked.
  • Once done translating simply repack cpk file with CPKTools. See Build if you're having problems like game having errors upon startup, etc.
Build:
  • Data align: 2048
  • Coding: UTF-8
  • Dir. Mask: false
  • ForceCompress: false

Upd. from me:
Yeap, I can edit images files. But for now there nothing interesting to edit

I've built a tool to extract text from the scripts and tutorial binaries. However, the tool is not publicly available yet due to major changes to the code-base and licensing issues (due to not having an actual license.)

From what Bin/Decoded tutorial binaries files come from? I mean path to them.
Is it: \Graph2D\TuneData\ ?
Does your tool can pack this binaries back?

Images in .anz format, how convert them I don't know...

My tool is currently able to insert and replace text from the binaries. The only downside is that it doesn't re-create the binaries because I don't want to introduce discrepancies.

The .anz files look like they're containers for the images, not the images itself.

The images are the .dds.phyre files. I was able to extract them by trimming the Phyre header to the "GXT" offset. [A trimmed file would start with "GXT".] Then I used ScarletConvert to convert the GXT images to PNG. I would need to look at how ScarletConvert converts a GXT texture to PNG in order to reverse the process.

Yeap, make line shorten and its play fine, if you fixed ggl text then it would be fixed itself)

and btw do you know where to find character skill text ?
I dont check it, because I only test game prologue and training part.
To tell you truth I dont get part of training with jump and slide part to what to do and dont even checks videos about it
Some tutorials are inside other files that master801 extracted

One of those part asked you to walk in the cubic , step in the cubic but NOT the TOP surface then hold L . And after that is flying test ,just hold L in midair

Those are built in the eboot. The eboot will have to be edited (or a plugin) in order for those texts to be translated.

I'm think about I and my friend will do the translate part and let the inject part for u , is that ok ?

I know Noone will respond to this but I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTION OF TRANSLATION AND WHEN I TRY TO UPDATE THE GAME IT SAYS COULD NOT DOWNLOAD. I EVEN CHANGE THE LOADING MODE TO 5 THRU MAIDUMP TOOL. NOTHING I TRIED WORKS.
