Hello, I'm currently having a bit of an issue after getting my console up to date. When I used to boot my wii up, it would take me to the BootMii screen, and from there I would choose the HBC and then to loader GX. But after updating all my modded stuff it still boots into BootMii, but when I press the HBC my console remains powered on, but doesn't output anything. Is this a common issue with an easy fix? To be able to use my Wii currently, I'm going into Priiloader by holding reset on power on, and selecting HBC. What I really would like is for it to boot straight into loader GX. I have messed around with the setting in Priiloader for booting, but it doesn't seem to do anything different.
Also adding on to this. After updating everything, I moved all of my GC games to my HDD as that's now an option. However none of my save files are being recognised. With every game stating that there's no save files on the memory card. Before each GC game starts there's a splash screen from nintendon't claiming that it's loading my 251-block card.
Seems I fixed the memory issue. Turns out there's a setting in loader GX for Nintendon't for virtual GC memory card that I changed to 'OFF'
Hey! Before considering posting a full thread, I'm going to ask a quick question here regarding Neek (Neek2o) and region locks.
I'm trying to get a few WiiWare/VC games to run through emulated NAND on a USB HDD (USB Loader GX). Few do work right away, but others, not so much. So I tried the Neek way - following the most up-to-date guide I could find, and I'm assuming I got it to work (boot to Neek system menu through GX, the hidden menu is working) but the results are exactly the same. Games that worked work, those that didn't still don't. Is there a step I'm missing here?
The thing is, these are NTSC-U WiiWare and I'm running a PAL Wii. Is that a problem? I have region-free enabled in the Neek menu, but apparently that too is not 100% and in a related guide there was brief mention of running region-specific emu-NAND but how does that work?
Anyways thanks a bunch for any nudge in the right direction, it's not a life-or-death situation but there is a few cool WW games I'm interested to see for myself.
So, I had a problem where I wasn't able to reinstall HBC after deleting it. Smash Stack or Letterbomb would run, so would the installer, but it would crash when trying to install the HBC itself, so I figured it was the SD card slot that was starting to break (Yes, I have tried multiple SD Cards). When I noticed FlashHax, I figured I could use it to reinstall HBC and fix the problem from there.
It crashed when I started to install the HBC. At this point, I wondering if I kay just have to format my Wii to get it to be moddable again. Before I do so, I would like to ask if anyone might have a solution.

Yes, I'm on v4.3U. The reason I uninstalled HBC is because a MKWii modpack wasn't working and after talking with the pack's creator, one of the suggestions he gave me was to uninstall and reinstall the HBC.
On a side note this site does not like Android at all it seems.
Hi, my questions how do we go about adding box cover art to put rom in collections? I’m using the FCE Ultra GX 3.3.9 Nes emulator and would like to have all my emulators display nice box cover art per game. Is there anyway to do this with relative ease? Ty
Hi, a long long time ago I modded my wii, installed home-brew channel and usb loader gx. And then I stopped using my Wii.. forward to 2018 add some kids in the mix and now I want to play some games with my daughter and I wanted to speed up the process with the hdd, now I have installed New Super Mario Bros on the Hard Disk using Usb Loader, but whenever I try to start my game, well, it goes back to the home brew channel and nada..
I have read a bit, and did not find anything that seems to help me, but here's my syscheck results, maybe some of you have a better idea what is wrong with my setup. Thanks!

You lack an up to date cIOS, either grab d2x installer manually or have modmii generate a on the go guide to update your softmod and you won't have to think about anything missing. The reason the console reboots is that the loader can't load the game of the hdd since a cIOS(with the drive calls redirected to hdd) is not installed

Thank you! I was fearing that something went wrong, I did it so long ago, that I'm pretty sure It was still a very green process and I got some steps wrong. I will try your approach and share my experience after. Cheers!
Hi all. Modded my wii long ago and trying bringing it back from the closet. Have had a lot of success but currently have a issue with priiloader. Have copied the install files to my sd card under apps and trying to install with HB. Problem is once launched on the wii and it initialises, it freezes. Thus only option is to reset. Any ideas or suggestion? Thanks.
Hey guys. Noob here with a noob question. First off. I have a wii running 4.3U. So I wanted to softmod my wii because my mod chip crapped out and I looked online and found a few instructional vids. First thing I did was install HBC with letterbomb. The second thing I did was I went here ---> sitesgooglecom/site/completesg/backup-launchers/installation and installed 2 cIOSs with the D2x cIOS installer. cIOS 249 base 56 v10 beta53-alt and cIOS 250 base 57 v10 beta52. So after all that I threw a few games on a usb drive and loaded them up with USB loader GX. Some worked, some didn't. Typical games that have issues. COD, Just Dance. Anyway my question is can I run Modmii now on top of what I already have? Why you ask? Well, I'd like to get all the extra goodies modmii installs. I would have installed it first but I didn't know it was out there. I didn't install bootmii the first time around either which was a another mistake. So can I just install everything all over again or will it screw up my Wii? Thanks in advance.

Perfect. Thanks. Any idea why I keep getting a .net error on my pc when running the modmii setup? I read cyan said something about Windows looking for a particular folder or something like that? I know I have the latest .net installed so I don't know what's going on.

It wasn't modmii. It was my .net. I downloaded the latest .net version, which I thought I had, from Microsoft and installed it this morning. After that modmii ran fine.
Thanks for your help ca032769. I'm going to mod my wii tonight. Hopefully everything goes smooth. Fingers crossed.

@Xdqwerty, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! is the Japanese version of the game, different settings/characters/songs but otherwise identical mechanics. I played that before I knew about Elite Beat Agents lol. Both fantastic games https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osu!_Tatakae!_Ouendan
