Did you read the FAQ? Reexploit and try againWell, i've been trying to install the cfw for like 5 hours now. Went and bought a new flash stick. Still getting the data corrupted thingy. the saddest thing is i cant get to recovery(i have a third party controller).
I'm in the exact same boat. Let me know if you have any luck or a solution dude.Well, i've been trying to install the cfw for like 5 hours now. Went and bought a new flash stick. Still getting the data corrupted thingy. the saddest thing is i cant get to recovery(i have a third party controller).

If its using the port you need yes. It is recommended that nothing else is in the portsI'm in the exact same boat. Let me know if you have any luck or a solution dude.

Is it possible that a third party controller plugged into the other USB port could interfere with the exploit? I know it's picky about which port you use.
I thought so. It's not in the port I need (the thumb drive is closest to the disc drive) but the other port must be taken by either my 3rd party ps3 control's receiver or the usb cord for my ps4 controller. I have no DS3 or 6-Axis sadly. If its using the port you need yes. It is recommended that nothing else is in the ports
NTFS isn't natively supported and always seemed iffy for me so I just went FAT32. I imagine someone will tell me to shut the fuck up though and tell you that it's flawless so maybe research it a bit.
Did you install Ferrox Cobra? If not, you're gonna have to do that if you want Webman and the ability to load PS3 ISOs. If you just want homebrew (I'd still recommend Cobra though, and Webman gives you system wide FTP), any CFW is fine, just grab some .PKGs and toss them on your PKG folder and install them from the Game menu on the XMB.
Yes i've done everything step by step. i get the success message, then the console reboots. Then when i start to install CFW(tried multiple of them) from the usb drive, i get Data is corrupted 8002F967 on 73%. Tried 2 differnt USB sticks, formatted the console and re-did the exploit for god knows how many times.Did you read the FAQ? Reexploit and try again
That's what I did.I installed standard Ferrox. Going to Cobra is as simple as just sticking the PUP file in the UPDATE folder?
Did you try rebooting it again?Am I SOL? I used the webxploit, then installed cfw, ran an emulator then xmbpd, suddenly shut off then asked to connect controller to usb then press PS but the only problem is I have aftermarket controller and its not working.
it's super easy, why nobody understand ?Before I get to excited... is cech-4204c hackable? I don´t really understand the list

Your post isn't really helping much since you omit a bunch of possibilities. But I do agree that the chart is clear as day.it's super easy, why nobody understand ?
PS3 FAT : ALL compatible
PS3 Slim : CECH-2xxxxxxx, it depends (run a tool to check first!)
PS3 Slim : CECH-3xxxxxxx NOT compatible
PS3 Super slim : CECH-4xxxxx NOT Compatible

the chart with "NOR" and "NAND", is not to know IF it's compatible.
it's to know "which tool to use" once you know it's compatible.
Old FAT have a NAND memory type.
newer FAT have a NOR memory type.
SLIM ALL have NOR memory type.
the chart is only to know which program to use in case you have a FAT console, because it can be either NAND or NOR.
Are we at the point yet where we can get a spoon emoji added? I feel like its very needed at this pointYour post isn't really helping much since you omit a bunch of possibilities. But I do agree that the chart is clear as day.
May I ask why you are so desperate for Rebug?Works a treat on an old PS3 phat I had without cfw. Thanks @Sasori for hosting the files. It's on ferrox now just waiting for official rebug 4.82 as I'm in no rush to use the spoofed version. I recommend to anyone to use sman as I think it's the best backup loader available in my opinion

My bad, I was looking at the dumper, but 20XX and 21XX are ALWAYS compatible. It's only certain 25XX variations of the Slim (and anything above 25XX) that is unsupportedwhich possibilities did I omit?
if you mean the things about NAND and NOR, it doesn't determine the compatibility of the hack, but only the program to use once you know it's hackable.
I edited my post to reflect that.
Agreed. I'm not sure why I keep bothering. Are we at the point yet where we can get a spoon emoji added? I feel like its very needed at this point
The only people that are confused are the ones who arent taking a moment to read. Its sad. The worst part is most of the questions here are answered in the FAQ
Nothing against ferrox it's great. Dex rebug is the best cfw for PS3. It just offers much more.May I ask why you are so desperate for Rebug?
What does Rebug do that Ferrox Cobra doesn't?
I have Multiman & Webman running perfectly fine. And PSN access with running PSNinja & PSNPatch before going online.
Which is why I'm asking for specifics. What are you planning on doing? I'm not asking for the sake of arguing but to broaden my own knowledge.Nothing against ferrox it's great. Dex rebug is the best cfw for PS3. It just offers much more.
Fair enough!yes, I agree it's only certain 25xxx (but I made it even simpler with only 2xxxx because users are asking about 3xxxx and 4xxxx)
