Hello! First post ever! I have been using retroarch for some time now but I have some questions:

1. Can someone tell me exactly where to go to do change the menu driver to rgui and the audio to dsp? I have no way of knowing what all of that menu stuff does.
2. Does changing the menu driver change the gui back to the way it looked in the 1.3.3 and 1.3.6 updates (not that I mind)?
3. Lastly, do I need the latest nightly to do this or can I use the stable.

Thanks in advance!

1. In XMB, press Right until you see a menu with the Driver menu as an option, then set that to rgui, then stay in the menu and scroll down to audio and set it to DSP.
2. Yes, unless you want to go to glui which does NOT work well on the 3DS at all (every menu option fills the screen, text is too small, optimized for touchscreen/mouse).
3. Stable or nightly. XMB and CSND work fine on the stable but pcsx-rearmed only works on the nightlies.

Since i updated to the latest RetroArch for the Nintendo Wii, gameboy advance games seem to lag both in gameplay and sound for me.
I haven't had this issue before and i get it both by using mGBA and VBA next playing gba/gbc games.
Other emulators such as SNES seem to run fine, anyone know what the issue might be?

Edit: seems like using an older version of mGBA works (5.2) but using the one from retroarch's latest version onr the standalone 7.0 it lags sound/gameplay.

I have heard that deleting the cfg file from the previous build improves the Performance.

Why isnt there a S8DS Retroarch Core.
Because this already has two emulators that have 8-bit Sega console support, PicoDrive (which has 32x support) and Genesis Plus GX (most accurate Genesis emulator currently in existence but lacks 32x support and doesn't have as good sound emulation compared to Kega Fusion). There's no need for an S8DS core anyway as these have better compatibility and accuracy as well as support for Genesis.

If only Genesis Plus got 32X support...
It'd reign supreme xD

Hi! I'm trying to use PSX core with "Tombi!" game but I get a system exception when I load the game.

My config is Luma 8.1.1 with the latest b9s, New 3DS XL and the .cia packages. I've tried this game at RetroPie in a Raspberry Pi and it works like a charm. I've tried some bios, too...

Any help, please?

Thanks! Best regards.

Are you on the stable or nightly version? Nightlies last time I checked have issues with XMB crashing while pcsx-rearmed doesn't work at all on 3DS with the stable version.

Use the nightly, the fix for this came after 1.6.7

Does anybody know what release I need to use to have a PicoDrive that will save game data? Thanks! It's been broken for a while

Use one of the latest nightlies, change sound-driver to dsp and menu-driver to rgui. And for the best game-performance use the games in pbp-format. You can convert the bins with a tool called psx2psp. Look out for version 1.4.2 with base.pbp

I use one of the latest nightlies of psxrearmed and it disturb me that the beginning of the process for creating savestates takes an extremely long time. Has anyone had the same experience and is there a way to change something about it in the settings ? thanks in advance.
