it should still be the same as long as you have cfw?

Right, okay, but I still load CFW first, then load HBL to load WUP Y Mod, then install to NAND, yes? From there, I only have to load Haxchi CFW then Retro Launcher?

you can use it with haxchi, it just is better when you dont have to boot into cfw

Well, I'd rather not have to use something that's riskier IMO. Why is it better not to use CFW? Without libfat, SD read speeds are horrendous.

Exactly that should be it :) although you should just install CBHC takes the headache out of it. But it's up to you :)
Agreed, its no more risky than bar sex.

cbhc is still cfw, but on boot.

I don't know, I like the setup the way it is, I'm comfortable with it TBH. CBHC would be nice, but I don't trust myself enough, and yes, having CFW auto-boot would be nice, but, IDK yet :P

I'll need to look up the guide if/when I do it, I'll figure something out.

Forwarder channel works great. No more memory issues or dsi errors for me. Something going on on the homebrew launcher part of things.

It's amazing how the Wii u version has progressed these last few weeks , when the video shaders come to life, it will be just perfect ! <3
Shaders are the one thing I would like to have, damn I miss those nice scanlines!

Yup I would advice against that if you have kids. You know that running Haxchi channel with a coldboot hachi result is a Brick? Don't you?
With multiple users on my WiiU it's hard to hide the hachi channel......very very dangerous.

Iirc opening up the channel again brings up the haxchi or cbhc menu? Deleting or messing wih the save data is dangerous though?

@aliaspider are you still planning on bringing the overlays and shaders to the Emulator?

I can't remember what page it was on so I'll just reupload here: http://www96.zippyshare.com/v/QX5fheii/file.html The Retroarch Launcher basically cuts out the HBL so it boots Retroarch directly from the WiiU Menu. :) (perhaps the error's have something to do with the HBL)?

I found it, it was released over on this page by brienj . Part of the release notes:
It works with the new system, so you must have cores in the sd:/retroarch/cores folder and the info files in the sd:/retroarch/cores/info folder.
Also, if you installed the Libretro SNES9x Channel I made, you must delete that first, since this uses the same Title ID.

Also they said it was it was unofficial and in another comment about a couple months later, they said they weren't happy with it. I haven't seen any news of them updating it or working on it since then.

No, I'm not really happy with it, and it's basically a built-in forwarder, but the rpx isn't on your SD card, and isn't a "real" channel, because the Retroarch build system doesn't create rpx files that can be used as stand alone yet.

Thanks mate. I knew it was in there somewhere lol

The only thing about that channel I'm not happy about is the boot sound choice. ;)

Yep the boot sound is fucking awful. The boot sound should be some clasic 8 bit computer music not a shitty god awful song lol.

Yea tell me about it and brienj never released his source so we cant change it.

Has creating channels changed much since brienj made his? is it possible to swap out channel assets from an already created channel?
Worth looking into..
