Hello,

I haven't updated my n3ds for a while and I thought it would be good to updated from A9LH to B9S.
I was using reinand.

I follow the guide https://3ds.guide/a9lh-to-b9s but I was never able to launch the Luma3DS chainloader menu.
After that I tried to run again reinand and for course nothing worked anymore.

To launch the homebrew launcher I need to the "L" button when starting the console.

I reinstall the lastest version of home and i am not able to run PRDoom but Reinand refuse to start I get black screen.
FBI gets an error that kernel backdoor is not installed but that looks ok as my sysnand is clean.

My SysNand is in version 9.0.0-20E.

What is the best way to proceed from here ?

/Eric

I used the latest version Luma3DSv8.1.

I have no idea what is the difference between Luma3DS and ReiNAND, I have been happy for years with ReiNAND :).

I understood that Luma3DSv7.0.5 is the last build that support Arm9
Should I launch Luma3DSv7.0.5 from homebrewlauncher ?

I have Cubic ninja cartridge as well so I could run the homebrew launcher from SysNand to run Luma3DSv7.0.5.

You need to start over from the beginning of https://3ds.guide, not https://3ds.guide/a9lh-to-b9s. It sounds like you had menuhax, not a9lh.

Like she says,

Start form the beginning of the guide and once you have B9S setup, download the build from my post and the firmware.bin from the repo.

OK thanks I will try , does it create problem as my EMUNAND is 11.3 and my SysNand 9.0 ?
This will not cause any problems to your sysNAND, nor your emuNAND. In fact after you are finished, you can still continue to use your current setup (9.0 sys, 11.3 emu., on ReiNAND)

Thanks a lot I was able to remove the emunand and copy it to the sysnand.

The only thing I did not do was to update the system, I currently dont need it.

Thanks for your help, it is much faster to boot than before.
