If you update to 5.5.2 with Haxchi, it should be alright. However, if something were to go wrong with Haxchi, you would lose access to homebrew since the browser would no longer be an option. You could follow this guide to update to 5.5.2 without updating the browser: https://gbatemp.net/threads/updating-to-5-5-1-from-lower-versions.478867/

You only need to install the following files to update from 5.5.1 to 5.5.2 while leaving your browser alone:
0005001010041100 v560
0005001B10051000 v128
000500301001A10A v66
It's recommended that you continue to block updates with the DNS method, delete the update folder from the NAND, etc. so the browser doesn't get updated.

Ok, so if i update it without updating the browser, i will be able to play online, right?
Also, where can i get those file?
And deleting the update folder as you said, what does it do, prevent auto update even without dns? How do i do that then

You don't need to update anything to be able to play online on 5.5.1. Online play still works with 5.5.1.

Check the guide I linked to.

Follow this guide to delete the update folder from your NAND. Doing so will disable online updates, even without a DNS. However, I would keep the DNS anyway, just in case. https://gbatemp.net/threads/block-wii-u-system-updates-without-dns-blocking.477944/

thanks a lot
also, last question, is there a 3ds-like custom firmware like luna for wii u?
I mean, one that would allow you to unbrick your wii u with a nand backup, without the need of an engineer

If you brick your NAND, your only hope will be restoring a NAND backup with a hardmod. The only CFW options for the Wii U are as follows, and they don't have the ability to restore NAND backups:
  1. Haxchi/CBHC
  2. Mocha

ok, and hardmod is the engineer option, right?
I mean, a common user like me couldnt do it by himself right?

No, we don't currently have a coldboot exploit that loads early enough to do that. And chances are we won't get one with most of the more talented wii u hackers having already moved on to the switch and aren't looking back at the wii u.

There are also the older fw.img based cfw which were nameless. Back when you had to compile it yourself and use wupserver to play with files. I remember that was around the advent of the "Brazilian method", and I was the first to dump and share the disc ticket for Starfox zero. Those were fun times.

I didn't think those "fun times" were worth mentioning.
