Because they prevent us from using a system to it's fullest (watching movies, listening to music, etc.).

so? That's their job prevent those things. Its not illegal to do it but don't think for second Nintendo wont take legal meassures to prevent it(like i said system update) you are not entitled to have homebrew. Its just a extra that hackers do in their free time. If homebrew takes a long time to come to switch then so be it. I bought for great games to play on it. Homebrew is just a bonus that will eventually come.

Correct, emulators aren't illegal. Rom-hacks are definently in a huge grayzone since they're technically a remix of the original source. As far as I know, their haven't been a courtcase to settle how legal they're.


Also downloading roms aren't legal presay, since you can't buy a game digital and expect to get a physical copy (for example Splatoon 2). Yet, this haven't been a courtcase on yet so it's still up for debate.
