Gaming Pokémon Stars for Nintendo Switch appears on Amazon UK

...yes, I'm well aware of that. What I'm saying is I don't think it will be a direct gen 7 title like Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon. Hence why I don't believe the new title will end up being called Stars on the Switch. I think it will have a different name and not be directly tied to gen 7.

it's nintendo... if nintendo stars is real they will very likely just grab pokemon sun moon and ultra moon ultra sun, slightly change the story and add 1 or 2 new routes or something small, release to the swtich and call it a day.
up until black and white we had theese "third version" which was the defenitive version of each pair, i really think they gonna follow this safe lazy path and release this third version on the switch and call it a day...

don't forget nintendo is trying to be into safe mode..

I've seen Amazon prematurely list things that ended up not actually existing. for example (this goes way back to 2003, but has always stuck with me). As a fan of blink-182 I remember this one well. As a joke in 2003, Tom Delonge said the new blink-182 album 6 months or so away was going to be called Use Your Erection 1&2 (a play on the Use Your Illusion 1 and 2 albums by Guns N Roses). Someone at Amazon jumped on it and listed the new blink album as that title, with a TBA release date. The album actually ended up being titled blink-182 (or Untitled depending on who you ask), and was later changed to that. This one example has always stuck with me, so when I see stuff like this, I kinda just shrug it off, they're listing the rumored title with a TBA release date since a Switch game is confirmed to be coming, wouldn't be surprised to see it end up with a completely different name at all though.

Its just Amazon jumping the gun, its possible the game will end up being titled Stars, but they're just running with the rumored title right now, I bet it will end up being titled something else entirely.

There's still a listing for the Assassin's Creed 3DS game but just as a reminder of a game that could have existed.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind that.

me neither... you can get the same thing (with minimal difference) on both systems..
meaning that, if you are poor or whatever and didn't get the switch you can still enjoy and play the core games
or if you own the switch you can play this "better" version
kinda like Breath of the wild

Exactly, my point is, while this will likely count for the Switch Pokemon game coming, and they'll honor reservations of it if you make one, I wouldn't count on the name of the game actually ending up as Stars. Could be it, but at this point, I'm pretty doubtful that will be the game's actual name.

Oh look, another placeholder. I highly doubt it's STARS, just because STARS was a rumor and never existed in the first place. 8th gen seems more likely, 2 years from now. Keep in mind peeps that every new system starts with a new generation of Pokemon.

Also i'm surprised STARS rumors even existed. B2W2 do not qualify as a 3rd installment, as they're done with third installments.

Reason i bring up B2W2 is people still think it, and ultra sun/moon are third installments when they are actually NOT. They are extra story to that gen, that's it.

So there's my thoughts/opinions. Do yourself a favor OP and try not to hype people for the wrong reason, it only leads to disappointment. Thanks!

I think it's fake. The media section says CD-ROM. Mario Kart 8, Bomberman, and Street Fighter 2, all have the media section set as Video Game. Rocket League is also on there, and says CD-ROM as media rather than Video Game like the games listed above. The little picture for them is also not available, rather than something like a Switch game case, that says "Pokemon Stars (Unconfirmed Title)" and "Rocket League" as the new Kirby and Yoshi games have.

An error or Amazon jumping to conclusions from the core RPG Pokemon announcement at E3 is another matter, or it could very well be a placeholder and the game exists...
