I understand why there's a height limit on signatures, it makes sense so as to prevent signatures taking up 90% of the screen

However, considering that spoilers are only opened at will, and that its box and borders actually do take up signature space on their own, I think it would be great if we would be able to set some kind of y-overflow property to allow scrollbars inside them

I've only got 2 quotes in my signature and the 2nd one isn't visible, though I'm fairly sure it used to be at some point

Honestly, I'm all for this idea. It would honestly come down to wether or not the software used for the site allows it. I know it's purchased from somewhere. How much can the staff edit it?

I think the problem is the site will still load all the info, it's just hidden from view (notice that nothing has to refresh or load when you click the show spoiler button). So large amounts of signature stuff from everyone could slow down a page loading.

Odd, I can read both of them just fine. I've never actually had issues reading spoiler tags in people's signature.

Pretty sure they can edit it freely as long as they keep any copyright notices and don't try to "null" (crack) the software.

I don't think images and other external content load until the spoiler tag is opened though, and text doesn't take much bandwidth, so that's not a big deal.

 I just tested it on Chrome and it's still the same, cut off as it is in Safari (my usual browser.)

Out of curiosity, what are you viewing it on?

Is it possible this is already a feature that just isn't implemented to support all platforms properly?

I can see it fine on Chrome Version 58.0.3029.110.
EDIT: Just updated to 59.0.3071.86, works fine still. I'm using W10 x64.

Firefox, currently 53.0.3.

Tested Firefox 53.0.3, Safari 10.1.1, and Chrome 58.0.3029.110, all no luck.

For reference, this is the full sig as it appears (at least currently) when expanded in the signature preview feature:

God does this forum spout some funny one-liners sometimes

Only thing we haven't ruled out is the OS. I'm on OS X, but you'd think the same browsers would display it the same way.

@blujay No matter what browser I use, your sig looks like this:
