Homebrew Wanting to know how to run mario kart 8 mods with loadiine or haxchi

I currently have two haxchi ds vc channels installed (i think it 2.0 not the lastest one)
Anyway one boots loadiine gx 2 mod and the other is hb2hbc making it boot to usbgx loader vwii)

My question is out my current setup, can I play mario karts 8 mods somehow? It has always been hard trying to get mario kart 8 to work properly on wii u and ive always givin up. The game will only play intouched, no dlc and no mods. Is there a way to play dlc and mods if so how?

Im using loadiine booted from haxchi

In Loadiine using mods is easy. Either replace the files directly, or make an "updates" folder with another folder inside named something like "mod name here" and place the code,content,meta folders from the mod there, then set that as the active update when launching the game from Loadiine.

I made an updates folder with the actuall update and a custom one with mods, both did not work it froze at a black screen and i waited about 5mins each time.

Im using loadiine v0.3 build 41136d7 if that means anything.

Ok so I got to load mario kart 8 with mods via smash thanks to wii u usb helper. But I know there is a way to load the dlc in loadiine as well but I cant figure it out, I have both dlc and non legitment checked and have the v64 update loaded, but the dlc is still not playable.

Ok so I got to load mario kart 8 with mods via smash thanks to wii u usb helper. But I know there is a way to load the dlc in loadiine as well but I cant figure it out, I have both dlc and non legitment checked and have the v64 update loaded, but the dlc is still not playable.

But still, why you're running Loadiine? You should be running these games off Wii U menu with SDCafiine running in memory.

I think you must insert DLC somewhere in the game folder and DLC must be also extracted..

I believe thats where im stuck at. The dlc stuff is in a bunch of folders numbered from 0011 to 0019 with course files and mapobj, but no character files.

I tried copying the 00 folders to both the game content and the update but none would make the dlc selectable in game.

Does running mario kart 8 cia wii u menu and sdcafine dont need smash wii i to boot it? I have haxchi is that it needs then. This is so confusing.

It's not a CIA. It's a game installed straight to Wii U menu [and Wii U]
Nope, it doesn't need anything to boot, it might need CFW to run if you have fake DLC installed.

Ok so let me see this how to run mods for mario kart 8,

I install the game from wiiu usb helper (and update n dlc) and then use haxchi to load homebrew channel? Or striaght to cfw? Then run homebrew channel again for sdcafiine?

When I pick haxchi again from the wii u menu it freezes so is there like a channel or something so just run cfw first and then do everything else from there?

Neveind I got it to work.

Use loadiine with dlc support on and non legitmate on too.

Make a aoc folder in with the code content and meta of the original game.

The aoc folder is renamed to aoc0005000C1010EC00 for the usa version (for other region change the title id)

Put the 00xx folders of the dlc inside the aoc0005xx folder.

Have the updates folder as well in with the aoc code content and meta folders.

Put the v64 update in the updates folder.

Run loadiine with the both dlc checked and update folder v64 and with smash wii u as boot method, the game has full dlc now.

To play with mario kart 8 mods, just add the files in the update v64 folder and load them as usual and itll show up in game too.
