v1.11 Released

Just a small fix for those who want to use CHX files:
- Fixed crashing bug when loading CHX cheat files.

snes9x_3ds_v1.11.zip

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

This has probably already been requested but is there a way to have the mouse support on the touchscreen? The DS SNES emulator did it so I can't see why this couldn't.

There is, of course, just that I never really got the time to do it.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

hey! i tried Tengai Makyou Zero - Shounen Jump no Shou everything works fine but the menu's text is mess up :/
I'll post a screen shot later
==========
ok here is the screen shot
zero-b001-bmp.79067

as you can see, most of the text are glitchy...

Pulled up this old post to reply. I tried playing Tengai Makyou, the normal and the Shounen Jump version. Both didn't have the graphical glitches in the menu. Did you happen to have the right dump?

Could you add some of AdmiralCurtis's pull requests, particularly the faster savestate and SRAM fixes? I made a build of 1.11 with the graceful suspend and it works well.

Installed the CIA version yesterday from TitleDB. Works fine for plenty of games but for some reason Final Fantasy IV's item screen is messed up, no background. Sim City title screen has messed up clouds which are now blocks of pink garbled graphics. http://imgur.com/5X6IYi0

Thank you for the continuing support of both Snes9x and Virtuanes @bubble2k16. I appreciate your efforts.

Say, could it be possible for you to develope an standalone GB/GBC Emulator for the O3ds/2ds in the near future?

I know we already have Gambatte, Gameyob and mGBA emulating those Systems, but they all somewhat lack the polish that your Emulators are known for.

Hey @bubble2k16 awesome job on both of your emus!
I already replaced the RetroArch ones with yours :P
Just one question:

Is it possible to have one general configuration for all games instead of just one per ROM?
I cannot seem to find one general config before I load up a ROM, and I'd like to have all buttons and settings ready for all games at the start instead of each time for every one of them.
It'd be nice to have for both Snes9x for O3DS and VirtuaNES 3DS :)

Thanks for all your amazing work!

Thanks for pointing out. Will have a look at it when I have some time. :)

I'm still considering which emulators to port over for now - either Geneis, or Turbografx. Not that keen on GB/GBC but those could always be a possibility later on.

Glad you liked it. Setting a global config isn't too difficult. Will need some time for that, something I don't quite have right now. :) Will definitely look at it when I get the time.

Ok, I decided to go back to do a little digging regarding ctrulib and why newer versions seem to run at o3DS speeds while under HBL. Here is my current set-up.

n3DS with 11.4.0.37U
Luma 7.0
HBL cia with payload originally for NEW_11_3_0_36U renamed for NEW_11_4_0_37U because the payload downloaded for 11.4 would prevent various apps (including snes9x_3ds) from working, both your build and mine.

- When LUMA setting New 3DS CPU was checked below L2 (either OFF or Clock), HBL won't launch. It brings up error codes and sits there. Might be because I'm using an older payload.
- When checked at L2, your 3DSX build of the emulator runs SMRPG fine with nay a drop in frames. My build using the latest ctrulib 1.2.1 has numerous drops in frame rate during walking areas (not battles it seems)
- When checked at Clock+L2, both builds run fine with nay a drop in frames with SMRPG.

Now, I don't know if the function in ctrulib to use the higher speed (osSetSpeedupEnable) is meant to override the setting under LUMA, but under 1.2.1, it appears to have no effect, as turning it on or off does nothing. My CIA build with the latest ctrulib still has the issue I mentioned earlier where if you press the power button while the emulator is running, it crashes when showing the Power Off dialog, mentions an error occurred, then restarts. The 3DSX build of mine showed no problems.

When I first tried getting it to work, I did a bunch of dumb changes that weren't needed. Instead, I edited your Makefile where it specifies -DLIBCTRU_1_0_0, and changed the numbers to 1_2_1. That got it working with no changes to the emulator source.

Honestly, if you got permission to use the latest NDS version of Gameyob and add your level of polish to it, it would be perfect. Right now, the latest 3DS version is worse in both performance and sound for some reason compared to the latest NDS version. But the issue I've had with installing and using the NDS version as a DSiWare title on 3DS is that if the system stays in sleep mode too long, it'll freeze the game and force you to hard shutdown the system.

But yeah, compared to other systems, GB/GBC already has fairly good emulators, so you do what you want. :P

Well whatever you choose to do next, just know, your emulators are replacing the RetroArch emulators I have one by one.

I'm all for Genesis btw.
